Well, at least from what I've read today...

"The XBox One version is scheduled to go into pre-certification next week!" So we'll see how long that takes to hit the end user. Though there's no new news about Xbox 360, not too long ago there was news some progress has been made and is moving along.

Movies must be OAR, sports and movies must also have 5.1 audio, No EE or NO SALE!

From Pinball Arcade:

"Microsoft has recently granted us the right to a new publisher and we will be releasing the Addams Family® table along with all of the tables currently available on other platforms."

Now of course, the "Adams Family®" will be out if they raise enough with their kickstarter. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...-addams-family

This is all good news!

Movies must be OAR, sports and movies must also have 5.1 audio, No EE or NO SALE!

If you pledge $100 to the Kickstarter you actually get two different versions of The Addams Family Pinball.

You get the standard version that you may have played in arcades.

You also get the "Special Collector's Edition" that was only sold into private collections and limited to 1,000 units. This isn't just gold trim on the table, it even has some new rules and bonuses and sound effects.

Currently FarSight doesn't have plans to sell the collector's edition in the app (of course this could change, they are not promising anything) but I'm in for $100 to get both versions because I love TAF, but have never even had the chance to see or play the Gold Edition. But I played the regular version sooooo much when I was young in arcades.

It's by far my favorite table, and can't wait to have it.

I pretty much only play Pinball Arcade on my PC now. I just love the responsiveness. I bought all the seasons when they had them discounted for the Steam summer sale, and I'm not even missing the Xbox 360 version anymore.

I never played the gold edition, however I did get a chance to see one during a WMS Pinball Factory Tour.

That's cool. Too bad you didn't get to play it though.

I'm starting to get a little nervous about the Kickstarter. It started off really strong, but now it's moving pretty slow.

12 days left and $21K to go.

Maybe a lot of people are camping till the end to see if they can get the table without pledging.

Apparently they haven't been able to get Christopher Lloyd to agree to licensing though, so Fester might be made a little more generic.

Maybe they will put a scar on his face. That should take care of it!

In the meantime, here's some news about Xbox 360 and Xbox One...

http://paulsemel.com/exclusive-inter...er-bobby-king/

Dated Sept 23 2014

King: Yes, we just had to promise Microsoft that Xbox One would get them first. You can expect them by the end of 2014.
Well, that brings up an interesting conundrum. Due to legal nonsense with the previous publisher, you guys haven’t been able to add anything new to the Xbox 360 version of The Pinball Arcade. Where do things stand on this now, and when will we see Pinball Arcade on the Xbox One?
King: On Xbox One, we’ve gone through two rounds of pre-certification testing with Microsoft, as our game is the most complicated game in the ID program in terms of PDLC [premium downloadable content]. Our final certification test date is later this week. So fingers crossed, we’ll be releasing within a month.
On 360, we should be submitting soon. Updating all of the tables has uncovered many issues that we’ve had to work through.

Apparently this is out now on the Xbox One. Not sure what season/seasons are represented.

Still no word on when it will return for the Xbox 360.

Edit: Apparently the first three seasons are available from the start. Missing is season 4's content which is up to two tables at the present, and their original creation that has a Ghostbusters theme.

I believe the Ghostbusters table is mobile only, at least for now.

The Xbox One version of Pinball Arcade has been recently updated, most noticeably including rumble support. I've played almost every version of Pinball Arcade available (X360, XB1, PS3, PS4, Steam, mobile), and this new XB1 version now is the definitive version IMO. It looks the best and, with the XB1 controller, plays the best.

FarSight studios has certainly stumbled, especially with the publishing debacle on the 360. So it's nice to see such a solid, great playing game back on a Microsoft system. There's still a glitch with the Season Four tables being unavailable, saying the MS Store is "unreachable", but once they solve this hopefully it will be smoother sailing from here on out.

The Addams Family table is spectacular!

I was so burned with the experience on the 360. But if they work things out, I'm all in on the One version.

It's admittedly been a long time since I've played any of these tables, but my one complaint with them would have to be that the difficulty always is easier than I remember it being.

While the Xbox One version has quieted things a bit in communities such as this one, it seems worth mentioning that we've now gone a year since Farsight announced that they had secured a new publisher for the 360 version and had submitted all previously released content for re-certification by Microsoft.

We have submitted all of the content and 360 users will soon be getting a massive title update containing all of the latest versions of the tables, all of the releases up to date, and all bug fixes. Once the title update is approved by Microsoft, we will be updating you on the release date when you can finally get your hands back on Pinball Arcade on your Xbox 360!
They sure work quick over there. I wonder how many of their Twilight Zone Kickstarter backers are still waiting just to enjoy their reward, nearly three years later?

I sure hope they're not holding their breath that this company is going to follow through, although I expect another announcement that amounts to "soon" will be forthcoming, that either repeats or contradicts this statement from a year ago. The Wii U build for example has and hasn't been submitted for certification, about three different times now. They can't even keep their own story straight.

Either they just can't seem to pull this all together for some unexplained reason, which seems less likely to ever be resolved with every passing day, or they're just leading the few remaining people on that actually want this, hoping it will be forgotten as we move forward with the XB1 and the PS4.

Either way, this is as good as cancelled in my opinion. And even if it appeared today, who would want to support it with its history, when support could just as quickly be withdrawn the moment there's another distraction?
