Maybe a hint at female characters? She is holding a skull so a hint at some game type where you have to collect skulls?

I'm guessing that's zombies.

Ah, didn't think of that. Was there a female character in previous Zombies?

It makes sense that we'll recognize most of the weaponry despite this game taking place in 2025. I mean, the m16 has been in use for how long? Not to mention the Kalashnikov or the m14! I am a little disappointed by the appearance of the XM8, though. Gun was used to death in bf2 and the platform itself is all but dead-- we'd have a greater chance of seeing the G11 than the xm8!

Speaking of the G11, 3arc better be prepping a new 3 round burst gun and it had better be awesome-- France's recent retirement of the famas all but guarantees that it WON'T be making a return in a game that takes place in 2025 (thinking the mw2 version here).

Don't know what direction I expected the franchise to take but battlebots really wasn't it. I like someone's frankencod comment from earlier. I see Frontlines, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Terminator, the Matrix and a few other games and movies all mixed together. Could have a really cool storyline though it seems more like a post apocalyptic thing rather than a normal war. Definitely curious to see how it shakes out.

It's going to be Halo COD style... the zombies will take the place of the flood.

I just want them to make it clear wtf is going on instead of having to figure out what all these tonics and gizmos are, and fix the difficulty curve so I dont nod off for the first 5-10 minutes of every match. I think I might have died like 10 times on the moon level before I had any clue to pick up the spacesuit. Then you've got to buy guns off drawings on the wall, or out of a random box, which changes places? Why is the power off, what happens when I turn it on? What is going on??

It's just so bizarre.

8 player sounds awesome though.

I never was able to do much in Zombies until I played with a couple of people who had played it quite a bit. Strategy is a must!

Amazon's pre-order numbers indicate Activsion's Call of Duty gravy train is still going full steam. Earlier today, Amazon UK told MCV that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 pre-orders were three times higher than its predecessor, Black Ops, two years ago. We wanted to know if that anticipation crossed the pond.

"Pre-orders from day one of Black Ops 2 were more than ten times the amount of pre-orders for the first Black Ops on its first day of availability," Amazon US told Joystiq this afternoon, but that's not all the buzz.

"Black Ops 2 even out pre-ordered the first day of availability for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 by more than 30 percent. Modern Warfare 3 currently holds the record for the most pre-ordered game of all time and was amongst the top 20 pre-orders ever on Amazon.com, including books and movies."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 went on to gross over $775 million globally in five days, flying past Call of Duty: Black Ops' $650 million record and the $550 million record before it, set by Modern Warfare 2.

Smart choice #1.

Next up. Tell activision to piss off. MW3 is the worst COD to date. I'm really hoping for Black Ops 2 to be just as good as the original. Just give it what little it was missing. Bring back some crazy zombies!!!

COD4>BO>MW2>MW3, as long as BO2 slots between COD4 and BO I'll be very happy. However, I can already tell that Quadrotors will be littered in MP.

I respect your opinion but how could MW2 be above MW3? MW2 was a glitch and cheese fest, where 9 out of 10 battles had multiple knifing jackasses running around with Commando/Lightweight/Marathon and shotgun after shotgun after shotgun, ruining matches. It had better maps, great maps in fact, but the perks I just mentioned, plus the childish nature of the community, plus the cheaters and cheesers, plus ONE MAN ARMY!!!!, made that game the worst (except for CoD3). It was also the game in the series I played the least.

For all its warts, MW3 is at least pretty damn balanced and you don't have too many people actively trying to glitch the game, or "game the game", like we saw in MW2.

Then you'll probably think I'm nuts! Lol!

Cod4 (only because it was 'fresh') > mw2 > black ops > mw3

Yes, mw2 had a lot of cheese but the game runs like a raped ape and, IMO, it was the last 'good looking' CoD. Black ops is fun in a slightly more deliberate sort of way but the graphics/textures took a definitive step back and it's not like that game didn't have it's cheese (looking at you, FAMAS), plus the frame rate chugs. Speaking of chug: MW3 chugs too despite the switch to a lower resolution and-- holy **** is MW3 is a complicated game! I like to modify my load outs before a match and black ops made that difficult but mw3 makes it IMPOSSIBLE. There's just too much STUFF going on.

Ultimately, though, I'm a sucker for performance. MW3 could be the most balanced, fair and straightforward CoD ever made but when the frame rate chugs and the lag is as prominent as it is I'm out. MW2 is pure cheese but there is no denying it's technical merit!

I guess for me it comes down to this; yes, MW2 had good graphics and all the other things you mentioned, but what good are graphics when the dumbass knifers are running around like mad and going through your bullets, to stab you? Add to it the explosives spamming (thanks OMA) and the game just lost its fun and became the domain of cheesers and exploiters. It just had all the fun sucked out of it.

I don't find MW3 that complex, but then again, I've played it so much at this point that I pretty much know what I want to do and can quickly do things like loadout changes with time to spare.

FULLY DISAGREE. MW3 is the worst game in COD history. The game is just down right broken. Don't get me wrong. The game had some of the best ideas I've seen to date. Also the worst I've seen to date.

Instead of fix the game. They just add new ****. Infected. Drop Zone. Maps ETC. This is the 1st COD game that I did not buy the map packs for. Why? The game was just that bad that I refused to put one more penny towards them. The only problem ( Main problem ) was OMA TUBES. OMA itself was awesome. It's the abuse the screwed it up. If they would have made MW2 like black ops and have it be that you cannot replenish explosives.... The game would still be one of the best games to date. OMA tubes its what destroyed it. Black Ops took the right turn. MW3 was clearly made to make money. Nothing else.

1 Big reason MW3 will never be a good COD game.... Spawn system. Talk about the worst spawns I've seen in literally ANY game.

I didn't realize the MP details were out already. So how many kills does it take to get a Quadrotor? Is it easy to shoot down?

Well that's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but for every time I have had a death due to the ****** spawn system of MW3, I had 3 deaths in MW2 from jackass CommandoWeightathon Knifers/shotgunners running through my bullets to stab me or shoot me at close range in MW2.

As I said before, MW3 has issues, but when you add it all up, they don't come close to the sheer incredible amounts of cheese, glitching, perk exploitation, sniper-shotgunning, and flat out cheating, that went on in MW2.

How quickly we forget the absolute fury on the Internet over knifing, over the ludicrous akimbo-shotguns and their range, over the wall hacks, care package glitches, etc, etc, etc. To listen to you guys it was perfect, but it had an incredible amount of problems and for the most part, IW was as inattentive to them, as you think they have been to the problems is MW3.

Also, remember, IW is going to put out a title update that is supposed to help with lag and the spawn system, so there is still hope that the game improves further. Couldn't say that about MW2 7 months after release.

Maybe that's the reason I have put more time into MW3 than any other CoD game, even Black Ops, which I loved.

No argument there, but according to IW, it is being worked on.

7Months ago!?!?!?!?!? Do you really believe that!? lol Trust me. They won't be fixing it. Which is sad because I had such high hopes. There's a reason I was playing it about a week before it came out. Played the piss out of it.All to be saddened lol
