Looks like a new DLC is incoming for an old favorite. Can't believe their still adding stuff to this game. Most are abandoned by now. Forgive this post if its already known info, work blocks the forums and I'm stuck on this pos tapatalk junk that can't search.

From IGN:
Valve has announced that Cold Stream, the much anticipated next downloadable content pack for Left 4 Dead 2, will be released on July 24th. The add-on will be available for PC, Mac and Xbox 360. For Xbox players, the content also includes the original Left 4 Dead’s Blood Harvest, Crash Course, Dead Air and Death Toll campaigns.

Cold Stream has been in beta since March 2011 and Valve says “there are some other surprises” that will be revealed later. The content will be released alongside a new update that makes all mutations available at all times. According to Valve, “this will allow players to choose to match into games playing Taannkk!, Gib Fest, or even a user created mutation like Confogl.”
More details will be released in the coming weeks, but we’ve reached out to Valve for pricing info and will update with any comment we receive.

They're still actively updating it on the PC side, which will almost certainly get this for free (if they don't already have it). It is kind of surprising to see it make it's way over to the 360 though.

That's why I posted it, figure this game is probably well below radar by now. I'm sure PC has a thousand awesome expansions we will never see. Would be nice if there was some mechanic to be able to maybe not create maps but at least download some that others made for PC. This game is 100% better on PC just for the user generated stuff.

Thanks Nexus! It's good to see that this is FINALLY coming out.

After searching and searching for months on end, I had given up on this ever coming out on 360.

I had no idea you played L4D! If you ever want to pull your BF3 bucket out for cleaning and replace it with a L4D one, hit me up.

My entire friends list is comprised of nothing but Battlefield and L4D veterans. smile.gif

Hell I have both L4Deads. Didn't get any DLC for either as I was done with them before it came out but yea been a L4D fan since I caught wind the first one was coming out. Zombies have a special place in my heart, right next to the tool shed! Loved Dead Rising and Dead Island too. Played all those before I got heavy into the AVS forums though and relied on friends of friends.

I know some people are going to sell their L4D1 discs and get this DLC since this DLC has all the L4D1 maps in it. That will make the DLC a wash or actually profitable.

I loved the first one and but never picked the 2nd one up. Is it worth playing alone?

You can...but it's really made for 4 player coop especially on harder difficulties. AI sucks horribly for SP.

why play L4D1/2 alone? tons of people to play with! I'll play with you! tongue.gif

Actually, I've never played the game alone. I've played L4D1/2 maybe 30 times total because I only play with friends. We usually do the campaign levels which take about an hour each.

L4D 1 and 2 kick ass. Worth playing, regardless. Still, more fun with a team.

It's really made for Versus, but Co-Op can be fun. The AI bots aren't too bad, if you can learn how to "work" them. Just expect them to do the most retarded thing ever and they will...sort of like playing with randoms, except that bots will never shoot you in the back. They do heal if they get below 75% health like noobs and down pills like they're drug addicts, however.

Multiply your 30 games by 500 and that would be about my total count played. Yes, 15,000 games is alot, but not over 3.5 years. Love me some L4D!

Not holding my breath, given M$' record with Steam/Valve. Sadly, Cold Stream isn't a particularly good map, at least on PC. At least if was free there.
