I was "accepted" yesterday, but still haven't gotten an activation code. From what I'm seeing online, that's been the norm. Hopefully they'll get them out today.

I got the invitation e-mail yesterday and enrolled.  If you are accepted you will not get any product keys via e-mail.  You have to request the keys yourself from the Microsoft Connect Xbox Live Beta area.  They have an FAQ on how to enroll your console that explains the process.  It is just like the last beta test console enrollment process.

i don''t understand why they changed the search option for some apps. What I mean is when on keyboard on youtube why does the Y button open or close keyboard instead of normally being the space button? I do not have Kinect & I do not like this change when typing in a search! Is there any way you can keep it the way xbox live users is used to? Make another button the open/close keyboard & keep the X button as backspace & the Y button for space? I know its a little problem, but it is annoying! Especially for ppl like me that is used to the old way, & doesn't make sense for the Y button to have different functions for different apps! Just makes sense to be the same no matter what app is being used! Everything else is very nice on the new dashboard.... Wish I could download adobe flash for youtube also. But please consider the different keyboard functions that have changed for the core xbox live user

How do you know if that same "core" Xbox live user isn't just using the chat pad? MS probably knows how much people have invested in it along with 20 millon Kinects.

The 5.0 is here

Looks like they caved to the pressure in the latest update and moved the games tab closer to home. Cause, you know, it's a game console. Now it's home, friends, games, all the rest, then settings at the end.

Too bad you can't just purge all the movie and music stuff entirely to speed everything up, or at least get more useful ads.
