I've got two kids at home (3 yrs old and 6 years old). They both play Black Ops everyday, and they are getting good at it....better than my wife. However, I want to get them a different games so they can get more active rather than just using a controller. So, I was wondering what kinect games do you guys recommend.

I was looking at the following games:

1) Kung Fu High Impact (only issue I see with this game is that it's one player)
2) Kinectimals
3) Kinect Rush
4) Dance Central 3 (wife and daughter thing, but my son likes jumping int too lol)

Thanks for any suggestions.

for 3 and 6, definitely get Happy Action Theater. it's an XBLA game.

for a pet simulator, I suggest Fantastic Pets over Kinectimals. Kinectimals requires a lot of adult supervision. Really, they did not have 5 year olds testing the UI of Kinectimals. Fantastic Pets does have a pretty good demo on XBL.

if you want active, how about Wipeout 1, 2, or the upcoming 3?

Kung Fu High Impact has a solid demo to download so you can see what it's like. It's on sale for $15 at Amazon the last time I checked.

the demo of Rush is terrible and it's way too short to gauge the game.

Disneyland Adventures is on sale and it has tons of content. A great representation of the park and some easy to handle events for kids. The best part is you can't really fail the games because you'll disappear and just respawn.

how about Rhythm Party? that's also an XBLA title that's easy for kids to play. DC1, 2, or 3 is more for us adults.

for dance games that span more people, Just Dance 3 is great. As well as the Just Dance Greatest Hits. that has 4-player choreography meaning everyone has their own moves!

of course, fruit ninja! forgot about that classic! kids can play that one!

OMG! forgot the classics! not for the 3 year old, but everyone after that, you have to get Kinect Sports.

And after that, get Kinect Sports Season 2. This is definitely worth it after all the free DLC they released.

Or there's an upcoming compilation package that has both of them together.

Thank you for the reply with all the youtube videos. That helped pick out some games for the kids. I'm going to go and try those XBLA games and see how they like those first. If they end up liking and playing them, I'll get more games for them. Thank you again!

Yeah, I figured that one out. My kids like playing that game on my phone so they should like it even more on TV.
