We’ve rolled out a new Xbox One game update and will continue to make improvements based on your feedback. The update includes fixes with the aim to increase the general stability of the game, and eliminates bugs that you may have experienced.

Dec 19 Xbox One Game Update Notes
-Reduced the probability of the “Kill trade” issue (see below for details).
-Fixed a common crash that could occur during gameplay.
-Fixed an issue that could corrupt save files in the single player campaign.
-Fix for the game mode specific ribbons being counted twice in the multiplayer progression.
-Fix for a graphical glitch that could appear on terrain.
-Fix for the SUAV (introduced in the China Rising expansion pack) not exploding when hitting enemy soldiers. While these indeed should be deadly, they were never designed for “roadkilling” opponents.
-Fix for an issue where 4x the damage from a vehicle's minigun would be applied to the chest when a player had the Defense specialization equipped.
-Servers that friends are playing on now have a higher priority in the server list.
-Server Browser is no longer showing empty or full servers by default.
-Balancing jet handling across all stealth and attack jet classes.
-Fixed a bug in Defuse mode where defenders could win a round by killing all the attackers without disarming the bomb. If the attackers arm the bomb, the defenders need to disarm it to win, even if they have killed all the attackers.
-Fix for a Defuse bug where none of the teams would win a round by letting the timer run out.
-Fix for players getting stuck in the revive screen.
-Fix for players getting stuck in the kill camera after being revived. Note that you might see a graphical bug on-screen after being revived when accepting a revive within 1 second. This graphical bug will be removed in the next patch.
-Fixed the instance where players suddenly would transition into Spectator Mode while playing the Defuse game mode.
-Fix for the death camera/screen being displayed too early.
-Raised the first-person camera slightly for walking in crouch to more accurately reflect the actual position of the character.
-Fixed an issue with the party chat app not working.
-Fixed an issue in the in-game Battlelog where non-ASCII characters would display incorrectly.
-Fixed an issue when maps were not loading properly while player didn’t have the game in full screen.

Kill trading issue
We’ve addressed the so-called “Kill trading”. This refers to when two players fire at each other and, seemingly, both die at the same time. The time window where a bullet could cause damage from an already dead player is now calculated as intended, decreasing the time frame when players with high latency could get a kill, even though they should be dead according to the server. This should reduce the probability of kill trading.

Fixed a bug in Defuse mode where defenders could win a round by killing all the attackers without disarming the bomb.

I thought there was something about that.

I'll repair your tank without ganking it. On the china rising maps, I like to ride behind the tanks on the dirtbike and hop off when repairs are needed. I'm sure one day a fool will take my dirtbike....

The second patch released yesterday seems to have fixed a lot of the server search and connection issues, finally.

I was able to get into a few 64 man hardcore conquest games last night without crashing back to the main screen as well, this game is starting to feel like a real game now, awesome.

Also, 64 man hardcore conquest with the re-envisioned Metro map is BONKERS.

Absolutely insane fun, and the absence of a mini map makes it even better, making it so much easier to flank and sneak up on people, especially with the two new ways they added to get to the B flag (elevators and left side passage). I joined a hardcore game with "Tetsumaru" last night..... anyone recognize that ID from AVS.... I can't remember if I added him through here or not.

I am loving the canted iron sights, having the ability to equip a 3.4 or 4x scope on a carbine as well as having some nice iron-sights for close quarters is awesome.

I finally got into a game with bb eldude bucwyld and some others last night. I assume you guys were in party chat but couldn't find a way to join. Started off rocky but ended with some good matches

Even though I'm on PS4, I'm just gonna say, was moving into the 3rd stage of Tashgar Mission not 25 minutes ago and got an error message. Have to start from the damn beginning of that mission again! Freaking wish I could skip all the damn dialogue bullcrap since I've had to sit through it like 3 or 4 times now.

Is that the deletion problem you're talking about?

I don't know what issue he's talking about but I'm talking about being a few missions in to the game, needing to stop to do other things, coming back a day or so later and all progress has been wiped out - no save game whatsoever.

I was going to give the Xbox One version of this game to my son as a Xmas present.


Should I take it back and get him something else ? He wants either COD or this game, and I've heard COD is lame, but I've also heard that BF4 has major issues. I'm clueless about both games. (I'm not really a multiplayer guy)

BF4 is working great on the One now after the 2 patches that came out recently. I think call of duty is lame but my 13 yo loves it because he plays it with his school mates. If he wants either, I'd say go Bf4:D

I think BF4 is a little more open world. Not like Skyrim at all, but as far as the way you progress thru missions it's much less linear.

XB seems to be the most stable right now, although the latest PS4 patch has really helped MP. As far as playing the campaign, I never once had an issue on the BF4 campaign on the 360 or XBone. However, I started the PS4 campaign last night and crashed in the middle of the 3rd chapter and all progress got wiped. I kept the achievements and weapons earned, but to go any further in the campaign I have to start over.

Have yet to have an issue with BF4 on PC. Just got BF4 on the XBO from GameFly, can't connect to Battlelog, at all, constant error when I try.

Really pleased with the latest update. I played for a few hours yesterday in between house projects and did not have a single crash. Party chat actually worked as well.

Now if I could only get the "Xbox record that" feature to work... Any tips?

Do you play with headphones?

Strangely enough, mine seems to work when I am not playing with headphones, but when I play with headphones it hardly ever works.

Finally got in, managed to get a couple rounds in on an apparently laggy server. It's been years since I played an FPS on a console, having to get used to a controller again is so awkward lol. Game's still fun though, when I'm not sucking horribly...

What do you mean? When I say 'xbox record that" it does it every time with or without mic. Then you have to go to upload studio or game dvr to see the recorded clips.
