Hello;

I'm hoping people can help me out. I need to transfer data from one of the original 360 hardrives to the new type found in the S versions of the 360 and I'm not sure how best to do this. I have the data transfer cable/disk which I got years ago for transferring from my original 20GB drive to my current 60GB drive but I don't know if that transfer cable can be used to transfer to the new drives. Does anyone know if that will still work or do I need to transfer using another method now. My new drive is a 320GB one.

Thanks

I believe you leave the new hard drive in the xbox and just use the transfer cable for the older hard drive.

One of the greatest posts I have read

I confirmed this works. I got one of the new star wars xbox's on wednesday for my bday, and I used the old transfer cable to go from my old style 250gig to the new 320 gig just as described.

one thing I will mention though is to do the license transfer first. if you don't you will have to go back and re-download any thing you may want to use on another gamer tag or off line. at least I did .
