I'm not big on buying DLC, but I need more Peggle puzzles. Really bad.

They are talking about full games here but lower prices for all digitally downloaded content would be welcome news.. People are a bit miffed having to pay full price for digitally downloaded games through XBL yet they are giving $10 gift cards if you preorder the physical disc from the MS store.

Yeah, my comment was actually unrelated to that discussion. Just a random statement that I need me some more Peggle. Should've said "extra" DLC I guess. Anyway,, more Peggle please.

They announced a free update on there facespace page that would add local competitive multiplayer, this was back in early December. Haven't heard a peep since. I emailed popcap a few days ago and they gave me a typical PR response, no news. The game needs more masters and more levels, especially considering Peggle on the 360 had more of everything when released

So I decided to go ahead and get a One and I have a question. I looked but didn't see anything. Has anyone experienced the One basically stop downloading digital games or installing a disc game? I had to unplug the ethernet cable and reset the console to get it to start again. Hasn't happened since yesterday but seems a weird glitch. Any official acknowledgement by MS on this?

Wonder if you are using a wireless router? That sounds as if you are losing connection from that. I used to have a bad router and this would happen on my 360 (and other devices). After getting a better router, I had no problem.

Are you sure it isn't pausing the install to download updates. I've noticed that it does that. Makes it look like your install won't start but it's actually downloading game updates in the background.

So it says "3.9 million Xbox One units sold to retail stores". I guess that means shipped to retail stores? Or is that just worded wrong and it is actually 3.9 million units sold?

Shipped/sold means the same thing. Gamestop, Walmart and Best Buy order shipments which MS sold to them. The same for any other company. Supply and demand.

Yeah I did some further research and found this is actually a known random issue and the fix I did funnily enough is the workaround. The installs would freeze at different points (e.g. KI stuck at 35% download, AC4 at 11% install, Peggle 2 stuck at 96% download, Netflix stuck at 99% download, etc.). Once I did a reset the downloaded games and apps were actually already done although I had to reinstall AC4. It hasn't happened with the few apps and Halo Spartan Assault I've downloaded since so there's that. Just a curiosity more than anything.

Shipped typically means units shipped to stores.

Sold typically means, units sold to end users.

Units sold to stores don't mean alot if an end user isn't actually using it.

It isn't exclusive that it has to be said shipped. I am not sure why it matters when in the statement you quoted they said sold to stores which is a true statement since they have to buy them from MS to sale to consumers.

I just saw your edit. How will MS or any other company get an exact number of what is sold to the consumer when they sale to the storefront? That number will never be accurate. People buy and return products on a daily basis so no one can ever get a snapshot of what is actually sold. MS got their money from the orders requested from retailers. That is the best numbers they can use. The company now selling the product is going to have the best number of units sold to the consumer and not MS.

Gears oh yea! Loved the series. First multi-game I played on xbox360 and loved every bit of it. I probably had the most fun online was with Gears1. Talking smack and no rules or real competition!

Agreed. I played the first 3 and that was enough. I would love to see a franchise actually end and personally would prefer a few new and innovative games. I commend J.K. Rowling and George Martin for having a story arc and book franchise that actually ends or in George Martin's case will end. Too bad game franchises can't do the same.

If it's still making money why bother ending it? You need to milk it for all you can since it's rare to have a popular game. Most games are not that popular.
