Especially since this is supposed to be how Windows 10 operates in general - having periodic feature updates as needed.

I really just don't get it at all.

Obviously the reason they released so early is to make the back to school season, so they must have faced a lot of pressure from the IHVs. But that's poor thinking when the vast majority of 10 installs aren't going to be new PCs like in the past, since they're pushing the upgrade down to everyone.

No, I got that you were referring to WMP...just haven't seen it as of yet. Is it called something else?

Man, do I miss ZUNE. It was my "go to" music APP...

Hell I still use my Zune program. It still works and until they quit making it where it does not connect to the music servers, then that is my go to music app!

I guess I'm not sure if you can still DL it...I lost it, doing the clean install.

Ah--I did not do a clean install and I still have both WMP and Zune. And Zune remains my go to music player.

At least they left IE11 and WMP around, if those are what you prefer.
VLC can't play MKV or something else? I recently messed around in Windows 10 and I couldn't play the MKVs I created with Windows Media player, So I switched the default player to VLC for MKVs so when I click on those MKVs it plays them with the VLC player.

Yes VLC can play MKVs (and I can do tricks with it like display an SBS 3D clip in 2D that I could never do with something like the Movies and TV app). The M&TV app however, can display a poster frame for MKV video in large and extra large icons in File Explorer, VLC cannot do thatm displaying its hazard cone logo instead.

I'm looking for a decent budget stereo headset for Xbox One; any suggestions?

I have had good headsets from Turtlebeach. XO4 would be good for a start. I just got the 420x wireless and it's great!

Shadow Complex added to Preview backwards compatibility today, glad to see that one there.

Also, I preordered Rare Replay digitally... it's weird to me that Rare Replay's Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise installs separately from the one you can purchase in the 360 store, which I already had from Games with Gold... and even weirder to me that all of these Xbox 360 ports for it (Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Jetpac Refueled, Kameo, Perfect Dark, Perfect Dark Zero, Viva Pinata, and Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise) show up separately from the main game (presumably they're playable from the main game's menu AND from the My Games & Apps section for them). I guess it makes sense, considering the Killer Instinct Classic and Killer Instinct 2 Classic bonus arcade games also installed separately from the main Killer Instinct reboot, but seriously, as if my game list wasn't cluttered and hard enough to scroll through already.

Though, I suppose a lengthy game list isn't too bad when I think about the fact that more of them than not have been free-to-play, free with gold, 360 games I already owned, or free with my EA Access subscription...

XBLA compilation discs did the same thing on the Xbox 360.

Namco Museum Virtual Arcade for the 360, which was a similar setup to this (A bunch of XBLA downloads paired with a large slate of non XBLA classics), also worked the same way. The XBLA titles appeared in your game list while the non-XBLA material is accessed directly from within Namco Museum itself.

Despite my enthusiasm for this collection, somehow I'm entertained by the thought that Rare Replay has non-earnable achievements on the Xbox One (Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise has some achievements that required the 360's Vision Camera).

I never liked stuff like that Forza Kinect achievement on the 360, despite my approval of trying to mine the achievement hunters for all they're worth by encouraging an accessory sale, coming back in a way to bite them in a small way.

Thanks. I couldn't justify spending more than $60 for this so I went with the Turtle Beach Ear Force XO One. I watched a pretty positive review by a blogger on YouTube, so I went with them:

I don't really play multiplayer games as a rule, but I can't get any further in Destiny without playing co-op activities which can't be done alone.

I really dislike the XO One. I bought it as an upgrade to my DX12 and it really disappointed me both in sound and comfort. I ended up going back to X12 with DSS2. I don't need wireless that much.
