If you are in the Preview program there are new UWP apps releasing for members to test. Netflix, Hulu, etc should be ready to install and test.

I noticed that there were versions of Netflix, Hulu and Pandora in the Ready to Install area several days back. What's "WorkWombatman"? EDIT: I see that's just some wonk's gamertag. What I really wondered was what's UWP, which I now know is "Universal Windows Platform".

Sounds like preview members are getting a half baked attempt at background music. In-game music though isn't automatically muted, you can't play MP3's off a USB drive or place them on the system's hard drive, etc.

I bet that even if you can use their limited vision of it in backwards compatibility mode, you'll have to manually mute the in-game music despite every Xbox 360 game having been coded with a API that tells it to do that automatically when you have a custom soundtrack playing.

Sad to see after the halfway decent job that they did on the 360. It lost the integration of the original Xbox such as how I recall Project Gotham Racing 2 allowed you to mix your own music with the in-game radio dj or how the GTA trilogy would only play your MP3's while in a vehicle with the tape deck/cd selected on the radio, but the universality of it was perfect on the 360.

Sad to see that it's not only very incomplete, but that it took them this long after launch to have a feature that should've been present from day 1 in a form as good or better than that of its predecessor.

they already said that the background music app will have USB support in the near future. it doesn't even support Groove Music yet which is their own music streaming service! Once Groove is in place, I'm good. no more going back to a limited library. unlimited music all the time is what I want.

Totally agree with the groove music support. Love that service and it's been much better on win10 as well. It's the one music service I'll gladly pay for and had just about everything I'm looking for.
