Still lag free... Azure is holding! This is truly next gen. Not a game but the infrastructure. Only Amazon has more infrastructure at this point and its really close... I assume we will see an Amazon / Sony deal in the future. I would be surprised to see Sony allow EA to have Azure be the backbone of Titanfall II on PS4.

According to Zampella's tweet it seems EA does not have the ability to handle mass mailings! So he took matters into his own hands. Think about what we know here: This fellow called his publisher out on twitter, changed weeks or months of planning and got Microsoft to handle a far greater load to their servers over the course of 4 hours. I think its safe to say Zampella has brass balls the size of a Titan!

So I have been playing the Beta and have come to the conclusion that smaller team size means teamwork is even more important than in your average shooter. Hopefully someone can start a list of tags and time zones so we can party up with mics enabled.

I dropped a Titan on another Titan BUT I was changing my position to fire on the enemy Titan and about half way into the maneuver that's when it came up on the screen that I dropped my Titan on another.

Is there a way to aim the Titan drop point? Last night when I played my team had just won agame and then a Titan dropped right on my Titan and killed me. So I was dead in the epilogue. I was actually yelling at the TV after that happened.

So what is the highest ping you all are seeing at your top 3 servers. Mine is 27 for South Central, 47 for both North and East.

Hopefully they smooth it out a bit for the Xbox players by release. But for anyone on the fence who's worried about being outmatched by M/KB players on PC, there's really nothing to worry about. The titans are so slow there's no real advantage there, and the pilot battles are more about placement than twitchiness. They should just let everyone play together IMO.

You're limited to 26 burn cards and you get 2-3 every match, so there's no reason not to use them.

I have played multiple betas in my time... Titanfall is by far the best. Close to zero LAG, no disconnections, no system crashes, instantaneous game finding... This is no beta, this is the closest thing to a finished/polished game I have ever seen. Respawn is one hell of a developer. Have to say I was very skeptical knowing EA was involved. Can you say Halo, BF, COD killer?? I think I found my next gen go-to game. Well... enough of that... Off to play a kick arse game. cool.gif

7PM is when I usually start gaming.
@onlysublime and I teamed up last night. It was nice having someone to talk to. The thing we found was that it was hard to keep track of each other on the map. I didn't like the fact that on the mini map I could not identify him as separate color. More often then naught we ended up going separate ways and now and then bumping to each other. The other funny thing was that we didn't even always start in the same jump ship!

I agree, wish you could squad up like BF and spawn on each other. Guess BF has spoiled me in that regard. Playing with my buddies last nite felt like we were just shooting the **** the whole time. It seems real difficult to coordinate anything due to the extremely fast pace but I reckon it IS early in playing it

My nephew and I played for a bit this morning. We played Hardpoint. That made it easy to re group when one of us died. "At B, meet me there" or "Heading A".

I left it at the default. There are times I want to be walking not sprinting. And I am used to clicking the left stick... I would just do it anyway.

I had mine set to always sprint. It seems like 99% of the time that's what I want so it makes it easier than having to press down on the stick to sprint.

Played with friends for about 6 hours last night. Our party consisted of me in South Florida and a friend who lives about 50 miles north of me, a buddy who lives in Vegas, one in Ohio and two in NY. Plus we had a couple of guys in the party who weren't playing TitanFall but were playing a different game and others who would drop in and out just to see what's up. So yeah, we were spread out pretty good geographically. Connection to East Coast servers were 44ms and North Central around 55ms. One friend in NYC said his was 17ms to East Coast server.

The first four to five hours were pretty lag free but the last hour or so there were quite a few times I felt like I was playing MW3/Black Ops 2 with their horrible lag/hit detection. People walking through 2 shotgun blasts and killing me with one shot. Pretty disappointed when that started happening. I was really hoping the MS Azure network would help eliminate most of the problems we saw with lag/hit detection and early on it did but when they opened up the beta and the servers started getting hammered we really started to see quite a few problems with it. This is the beta and hopefully they can get this sorted out.

It's pretty cool to drop from the sky already in your Titan. Did that a few times. Not cool was running out into the street as a Pilot and having someone else's Titan land on my head. Did find quite a few campers and there are plenty of places that they can hide on these maps. Nothing more fun than going back and rooting them out. My main gripe was when we lost and it was time to evacuate I was always far from the landing point and could rarely make it back without getting killed first. Spawns were really good and I only recall one time where I felt it to be less than ideal. The game is fun but I hope there is a lot more depth than what is being shown right now or I could see it getting old very quickly. I've always thought this game would be a system seller but as of now, I'm just not so sure. It's quite possible I'm feeling this way because there are only two maps to play. At least I really hope this is the case.

I'm confused on this part... When Titanfall occurred, you were already in the Titan? Or are you talking about jumping from a building and mounting it from above?

that would be very cool! wish I could experience it that time.

the coolest moment last night was calling in a Titan and it landing on an enemy Titan. I had accidentally place a Titanfall at a choke point between buildings. then a Titan saw me and ran toward me and got crushed as he was going through.

Dabeavers was there. too bad we didn't know where each other was and he couldn't witness it!

Oh, like I was saying last night, for those having difficulties with Vortex Shield, go with the Electric Smoke. Awesome stuff and a great neutralizer. I won a 2v1 Titan fight because that smoke helped out a ton. also helps with guys who just on your Titan.

Here's a trick to pull it off....find a lone enemy Titan, and rodeo it. Wait for him to climb out and then jump off him, and call your Titan down right on his. Works almost every time, although a pretty good chance you'll die in the process. Helps if there's buildings around to hide in.

I can respect that and I think their universe would lend itself to an interesting single player campaign.

The multiplayer is excellent with just these two maps alone though and I think anyone who has the chance to check out this free beta should.
