Preordered it at GameStop so no hassles and a easy return option just in case. Plus, I can pick it up at midnight on the 11th or anytime the next day.

Here is my fuzzy math (justification) for going with this option:

Normal X1+TF Expenses:

+ $500 Normal Console
+ $60 Titanfall game (I would have spent $50-60 regardless no matter what)
+ $65 Titanfall branded controller; already purchased

TOTAL = $625

Second Console - Titanfall Bundle:

+ $500 Titanfall Console
- $60 free game
- $65 TF branded controller (may still keep it but will probably return it unused; just for cost justification purposes).
- $30 worthless 3rd controller (trade-in credit)

TOTAL = $345 for a brand new 2nd X1 console + Titanfall!

I know this logic is not exactly sound on the surface but not too bad when considering a second X1 anyway. It would have been nice to save the extra $25 from the MS store or with a Target Red Card but no guarantees there. Anyway, I can't wait!

Does Best Buy include a TF branded controller? Unless they are doing something special I don't think the Titanfall console bundle has the special edition controller, just a regular one.

Edit: Nevermind I think i figured out your math, lol.

Nah, unfortunately not, I already purchased the TF controller but would much rather have a second X1 instead so I plan to get my $65 back. That would have been a great deal if the TF branded controller was included in the bundle but they knew better.

Yeah I was confused there for a second and was taking a second look at the bundle, if it included the controller too that would be awesome at that price.

Anyone know what the music is in the trailer? It sounds very familiar and it is driving me crazy not being able to identify it. I even tried to use Soundhound to identify it, but it turned up nothing.

There is one stat for how far you have traveled on zip lines which makes more sense to me as when playing LTS you can see your minions dropping in on your side vie zip lines.

I did get it wrong about the Marvins though, apparently they are helper minions and not a tougher class of AI.

Did anyone else get a call from GameStop last night? I got one from the local store. The guy said something like, hey, our records show you have bought FPS in the past and I'd like to tell you about a game called TitanFall. We are doing a midnight release...

and I was like, "Hey bro, what do you think I am, some kind of lame ass? Alpha much? I'm gonna download that MFer! LOLOLOLOLOL". Then I took a shot of tequila and went to an MMA match.

Seriously though. I hope that doesn't become a normal think or I'll block gamestop's number.

Titanfall season pass confirmed
Quote:
Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella confirmed Titanfall is getting a season pass, in news that isn't giant-mechs-dropping-out-of-the-sky levels of surprising. Speaking to GameSpot, Zampella revealed there are plans for a variety of updates, both free and paid.

"We're going to do paid DLC, we're also going to do free updates," Zampella told GameSpot. "There are things that we want in the game that we didn't get to ship in the final game. So we'll add private matches and things like that for free. There will be some paid DLC. We're going to do a season pass just because if you buy it up front, it's a deal. We're not going to do microtransactions. So a season pass is just buy it up front, and you get a better price."

Respawn's multiplayer shooter combines the studio's FPS heritage with a big dollop of mechanized walkers to pilot and tear stuff up with. It's coming to Xbox One and PC on March 11, while the Xbox 360 version outsourced to Bluepoint Games is due on March 25.

Asked if Xbox 360 players can expect the same longevity other platforms will receive in terms of upgrades and patches, Zampella said, "We'll have to sit down with EA and talk about that. My assumption is yes, but I don't know if I'm the best person to speak for that."

What is the price though? I need to make sure I have enough in my XBL account to cover Titanfall and the Season Pass. I've got $87.54 right now. I'm guessing that will not be enough. I miss the days with MS points. Things were so much cheaper back then when I always got the Point cards on sale.

EDIT: I see a $50 digital code on Amazon for $48. Wow! I can save a whole 4%rolleyes.gif That's only a tenth of what I used to save with getting the points on sale.

Now that we're getting closer to fall I'm getting my gaming shoes back on. This is going to be fun, been a while. Though why I look forward to getting curb stomped constantly I have no idea. I'll going to send ya'll some friend requests for anyone I don't have who has been posting as looking forward to playing. Feel free to ignore, ha.
