Tell us more. What color is the power brick light? Does that color change? Have you tried a different outlet?

The colour of the power brick is orange. I suspected that it could be the power brick that is giving the problem. However, I tried on my friend's xbox 360 and it is working with green light when powered on. So this confirmed that the power brick is working and my xbox is dead.

sorry, no help. i have a slim that went dead overnight for no apparent reason. just completely unresponsive to power button or controller. research indicates certain components going bad in the console, but I haven't cracked the case to take a look. not sure the same thing happens with the original though.

This is going to sound crazy, but unplug your HDMI cable and plug it back in and try it. I had the same problem about 3 weeks ago. The system would 'beep' when I hit the power button but would not power up...the power brick light was orange and tested good on another unit...searched the Googles and found this solution and amazingly it worked.

Thanks Rotoman.I've tried it but it is still not working.I was just wondering if it is the problem on the motherboard. Just curious if there is any fuse somewhere? Could it be the fuse has blown? Will try to Google for the schematics of my Xbox or the service manual to find out.
