The controls on Crimson Dragon are horrendous. I'm glad I didn't waste any money on it. The graphics are decent at least.

I downloaded it, played thru the first level and had zero desire to continue. The controls (left stick to move the dragon and right stick to move the targeting reticle) are cumbersome and headache inducing, almost like trying to rub your belly and pat your head at the same time.

Graphically, I was personally underwhelmed as the saturated colors, coarse graphics and necessity to focus on the location of the reticle often made it hard for me to make out the visuals.

This one will probably get deleted from the hard drive pretty quickly I think.

As already mentioned in the master Xbox One thread, here is September's Games with Gold Announcement:

"Coming up in September, Xbox Live Gold members can look forward to three new free games on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Super Time Force is coming to Games with Gold on Xbox One as a free download, replacing Strike Suit Zero (so grab it now if you haven’t already). Crimson Dragon will continue to be available for Xbox Live Gold members as a free download for Xbox One.

On Xbox 360, starting Monday, September 1st, Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine (normally US $14.99) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through September 15th.

Then, on September 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Halo: Reach (normally US $24.99) for free through September 30th."

Monaco is a fun game, especially in co-op. Guess I'll download Reach just so I have a digital copy. Super Time Force will be the only 'new' game for me.

I am never buying a $15 to $20 game again. When I do they come to Games with Gold! Super Time Force is pretty amazing.

Coming up in October, Xbox Live Gold members can look forward to three new free games on Xbox One and Xbox 360. On Xbox 360, starting Wednesday, October 1st, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (normally US $19.99) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through October 15th.
Then on October 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Darksiders II (normally US $49.99) for free through October 31st.

Xbox Live Games with Gold for November 2014

"For the month of November, Xbox Live Gold members can look forward to three new free games on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Volgarr the Viking, the newest ID@Xbox game, will debut on Xbox One as a free download. For Xbox One gamers, this is a journey back to the days of yore, when times were tougher, and you really only needed a couple buttons to play a game.

On Xbox 360, starting Saturday, November 1st, Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise ($14.99 ERP) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through November 15th.
Then on November 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Red Faction: Guerrilla ($19.99 ERP) for free through November 30th

*Titles are available as free downloads for qualifying Xbox Live Gold members in all markets where Xbox Live is available. Some regions may offer different titles depending on market availability."

Little bit disappointing I literally just purchased worms last week, it was way overpriced at 25, it was tough to suck it up for my kid just spending that much on worms I think worms for xbox 360 was 14.99, i would have never guessed an arcade game that costly would go on games for gold, and now its free.

Talked to microsoft about maybe giving me a free month or two or live, while they said they understand my frustration, and they are sorry, i rolled the dice on the purchase and its the way it is.

Suffice to say though im going to be a bit hesitant purchasing overly priced live games in the future, i feel like i just threw away 25 dollars. Lesson learned.

it happens.

I felt kind of burned that I bought Fibbage for $8 and then a month later, they release an updated Fibbage with more questions and a bunch more games for $25. If I knew that it would come out with more questions rather than an additional DLC, I would've waited for the $25 package. But we don't have the powers to see the future...

Exactly--nothing will stop them from offering the game that you buy today as a GwG next month .

Is anyone else seeing an issue with DL-ing a "free GWG game?

I tried to get SSX last night, before the month ended. When I went on the website to download it, it told me I needed a Credit Card to download the "free game". I tried to chat with MS about this, as I had never had this problem before. They said it was not an option to just download it for free, and I needed to add a card.
Today, I went to do it through the dash, and it appeared I had missed the free offering. I then went to the site to see what the new games are...I clicked to download Worms, and it went right through. (downloading now...) I clicked to download D4, and was told I needed a valid payment option for the free game. Went to the dash on my One, and the same thing popped up. Same thing with MX vs ATV on the 360.

I also downloaded and played the hell out of Darksiders II a couple months ago, and used the website to do so...What gives? Is this new? Why sporadic? I have participated in almost every free offering on GWG, and have never been told I need a "payment option". I don't keep a card on my account, due to Microsoft's past track record of charging for things I didn't order, getting whacked for auto- pay, even though I deleted the auto pay option from my account, and the whole FIFA hack issue a few years back.

I'm not sure what's happening with your situation.

But Microsoft has consolidated all billing under the Microsoft account. So no longer are Windows, Windows Phone, Xbox, etc. done by separate means and systems. So all the old talk of how billing was done by Xbox previously is gone. It's actually pretty dramatic how different things are now (some ways good, some ways not so good). But removing a payment option is super easy now. Not like the early days of the 360.

But please bring back the ability to check download history for the Xbox One via a web browser, please!!! This really annoys me. It's still available for the 360. But there's no Xbox One equivalent.

I thought that it'd always asked me for a payment method for the free titles (or rather, had chosen one of the ones that I have on file) without charging it. I just took D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die for $0 with the $8 in my MS account (left over from my last rewards premium) as payment method.

As of when? The last month? As I said I have downloaded may freebies from MS without ever having the CC issue come up. And, again, why did I get to DL Worms the same way I always have...just hit confirm at 0.00, and the game downloads?
I have seen that it is easier to drop the card from the account, and have done so, when I signed up my son for LIVE...(you have to get the 50 cent charge, that they donate). You can even do it in the settings via the One. But, why should I have to add a card and drop it for every little thing?

Well, there is already a thread on Xbox Forums, so I must not be the only one with the issue. Maybe those that just keep a card attached to their account have never noticed? Not sure.
I am positive this has not come up before.

Games I have recently downloaded without a "payment option"
Darksiders II
Reach

Guacamelee
Max
Crimson Dragon
Powerstar Golf (Free)
Chariot
Super Time Force
Halo Spartan Assault
Strike Suit Zero

I was actually able to chat with someone at MS that actually cared enough to go outside the script, and dig in to this, and she confirmed with her manager that there should not bee a payment option screen for Games with Gold, as long as you meet the criteria of having Gold...
She hs given me a case number and is escalating

I was surprised how much I liked D4.

Hopefully being avail for free with Game With Gold will give it the publicity/visibility it deserved but never really got so we can get the story finished
