The problem I am having on my VSX 8231 is that 36bit does not allow me to play 24hz on BD. Anyone else have this issue?

I don't use 24 hz because anytime the overlay comes up it has to go back to 60Hz. So I just keep it at 1080P60. Unless this behavior has changed since some of the recent updates.

I see 1080P24 is fine now. I'm not sure what update fixed it. I got the April preview update yesterday. When I have it set for BD playback at 1080P24, and I go to the main menu while still playing a BD, it stays at 1080P24 instead of jumping to 1080P60 like it used to.

Awesome to hear. Hopefully the April updated addressed the issue plaguing, mainly, Pioneer receivers. It seems to me that there's something going on when the XBone tries to do a handshake with the receiver, which causes the image to come out distorted.

So I am currently having a simaler problem with my Yamaha rxv477. the picture shows menus and games only any time i try to stream Netflix amazon or HBO go i lose the picture. also i replaced multiple HDMI cables which did not work also my Xbox turns my receiver on by itself every time i turn the Xbox one on. the only way that seem to fix the problem was when i plugged it into HDMI 2 on my TV leaving the HDMI one for the input of where the TV plugs in i am very confused any help would be appreciated

This is an odd issue. I have a Denon AVR-A100 with a Panny AE8000 projector. I never once had the X1 flickering issue.

My friend connected his X1 to a Denon AVR-X3000 and had the flickering right away. His Denon is feeding an Epson projector. I read the advice on here about setting the pixels to 36 bits and that seems to have fixed the issue though it seems that it's not really a fix but rather a workaround.
