Netflix and Xbox One HDR

Weird thing happened today:

Went to watch Netflix on my Xbox One and the picture mode kicked into HDR as soon as the app loaded...I hadn't even started a show. This was the first time I used Netflix on my Xbone since I got my LG C6 in October. On top of that, it stayed in HDR mode even while watching my show, Person of Interest, which isn't an HDR title at all.

Anyone know if there was an update to Netflix for the Xbone that it automatically forces HDR and "upconverts" all content to pseudo-HDR?

Thanks!

As far as I know, that has been the day 1 experience with the Netflix app on the Xbox One S. Hopefully they're fix this sooner than later.

So it's a known glitch and not supposed to happen?

Yeah. I can't imagine that MSFT is unaware of this, but if you want to be sure, you can swing by the xbox uservoice forum to be sure the bug has already been reported. Me personally, I've just been using the the Netflix app on my tv while MSFT is getting this sorted.

Thanks.

I just disabled Allow HDR in my settings since I don't have any HDR games and not planning on playing HDR content or UHD Blurays yet.

Good to know. I was asking about this in the OLED forum (using tv apps vs XBOX One S apps for streaming). Just ordered my 65C6P last night and it sounds like I need to use the tv apps to ensure everything plays the way it's supposed to.
