Wow, I love this game! Yes, I am a comic book fan. But this is a ton of fun. I didn't care much for the beginning level and lack of save opportunities. But once I got past the Helicarrier and was able to change my team and save at whim, this game took on a whole new level of fun. The comic book missions are a blast also. Great way to try out new characters and abilities. After trial and error, I found my core team to use:
Home Theater wise, I had to tweak my settings for this game. It was waaaay too dark at first. Other 360 games are fine but this one forced me to change contrast and brightness to make it look good. Weird.
Big Trouble in Little China - greatest film ever made
I've played through multiple times, each time with different teams. The most fun, by far, was Captain America, his shield power is incredible. I put all my points into his shield throw, then points into beefing up his damage bonus for shield powers, and items that augment this too. Unstoppable.
Every time I start the game, I have to select the hard disk as the save device.
Is this a bug in the game or my machine?...
The game. I've noticed it in other games too. They don't save your settings or anything, you should be able to hit the bumper or something to change storage devices, heck the original Xbox did this on multiple games.
X-Men Legends 2 was one of my favorite games for this genre.
Ultimate Alliance is really good but there are a few things that they changed that I didn't care for. Mostly, I think many of the heroes are too similar.
I run with:
Deadpool (or Nightcrawler)
But when the mood strikes me, I'll take along whomever I want. It's one of the beautiful things about these games that blows away games like Dungeon Siege, etc.
