Wow, I love this game! Yes, I am a comic book fan. But this is a ton of fun. I didn't care much for the beginning level and lack of save opportunities. But once I got past the Helicarrier and was able to change my team and save at whim, this game took on a whole new level of fun. The comic book missions are a blast also. Great way to try out new characters and abilities. After trial and error, I found my core team to use:

Cap
Wolverine
Iron Man
Colossus

Home Theater wise, I had to tweak my settings for this game. It was waaaay too dark at first. Other 360 games are fine but this one forced me to change contrast and brightness to make it look good. Weird.

Yeah I've been loving this game too. Definitely good fun for those who have yet to try it. I don't have one set team I use. I like so many differnet charachters for a lot of different reasons.

I've played through multiple times, each time with different teams. The most fun, by far, was Captain America, his shield power is incredible. I put all my points into his shield throw, then points into beefing up his damage bonus for shield powers, and items that augment this too. Unstoppable.

Every time I start the game, I have to select the hard disk as the save device.

Is this a bug in the game or my machine?...

The game. I've noticed it in other games too. They don't save your settings or anything, you should be able to hit the bumper or something to change storage devices, heck the original Xbox did this on multiple games.

Spider Woman is really powerful. Up her projectile blast, it can cut through multiple enemies and do over 350hp dmg. Also up her healing aura spell. great char to have on your team.

black panther is also pretty good, invisibility to enemies and a critical melee attack that can do over 500hp

Just so you know their is glitch with Silver Surfer's Molecular Mix-up Power. It assumes the base damage of the last power used.

You only need one point in the power and then if you charge up a cosmic blast it will shot with that base damage.

I like Ice Man. Freezing Aura, Blizzard and Polar Explosion make a great combination.

My created team "Black Power"

Black Panther
Storm
Luke Cage
Blade

But when I need to mosh through a level I have to add Cap America to the mix. His shield throw moves are the best in the game.

Anyone playing online?

I play online on occasion, but I think I'm about done with the game. I might beat it on hard mode after I finish beating it on normal again and be done with it.

As far as I could tell, nope. Even with two separate Xbox Live accts on the same machine, it just kicked the acct that's logged in first off.

Ah, interesting - I *thought* that power seemed highly underwhelming when I used it!

Where did that screenshot of the villains come from?!?!?

First, this game rocks! I love it, and I swear, it's impossible to find Arcade games going online!

Second, I have tried, and tried, and tried to play with Ghost Rider, but I just can't seem to get him going. Maybe I'm being too aggressive!

Anyway, here's my crew:

Deadpool
Blade
Elektra
Wolverine

ASSASSINS!

Or, as my team is called, Bad Assassins

I use a few others here and there, like Captain America, Ghost Rider, Spider-Woman, but those 4 above I can play inside and out. And get some nice coinage too with the bonus.

X-Men Legends 2 was one of my favorite games for this genre.
Ultimate Alliance is really good but there are a few things that they changed that I didn't care for. Mostly, I think many of the heroes are too similar.

Anyway,
I run with:
Spider-Man
Hulk
Iron Man
Deadpool (or Nightcrawler)

But when the mood strikes me, I'll take along whomever I want. It's one of the beautiful things about these games that blows away games like Dungeon Siege, etc.

When I set up a game for Ultimate Alliance for a friend to join, HE gets a message saying something like you can't join the game because the host needs a free software update pack.

When he sets up a game for me to join, I get a message stating I can't join because I need a free software update pack (or something like that.)

We both are using the same version (the original.)

When I try to access the free software update, there is no software update to choose from.

Does anyone know what this is about?

At the same time, I'll be contacting Activision on Monday to see what they say.

Movies must be OAR, sports and movies must also have 5.1 audio, No EE or NO SALE!
