At first my HD DVD player was having problems reading a disk it had played fine the day before. After a couple of ejects/reboots the HD DVD player now displays a Red eject light (normally it is green). I'm thinking this means the player has over heated so I have unplugged it to see what it does after it cools down. Anyone else seen this? And yes I have adequate ventilation and this puppy has been playing fine for about a month now.

I had this problem. I had the HD DVD unit on top of the 360. I since moved it off to the side and it has not had the problem since.

You can also put a couple of spacers inbetween the units......so long as there is a half inch of air or more between the two you shouldn't see overheating issues. The Xbox case bleeds heat, so any case-on-case touching is a bad thing..
