Tom, you got yourself a nice big livingroom over there. Looks like you got high ceilings in there. Very neat & clean.

Damn, that looks frickin sweet! Something like that is my goal.

Also included a shot of my living room again, but this time with the speaker grills off. IWhat do you think? I hate my coffee table, I plan on changing some time, just not now. Oh and what about that plant there? yay or nay?

Replace the plant with another sub because symmetry is good

I plan on putting another sub in the mix down the road, in addition to a emotiva amp, but for now I have to settle. Check this pic out, I took your advice and replaced the little plant with this one. Good? the color is off because of my camera and room lighting. Too crowded?

Cheating just a little bit, as you can see on the left side of the frame, a very gently used 60gb PS3 boxed and awaiting install (need a longer optical cable, and monoprice is running a little slower on shipping...)

Mostly hidden behind the left speaker is a stand with the Logitech Gran Turismo steering wheel, the one from PS2, not the latest version with adjustable tuning knob thing. Though I think if I "upgrade" I would go with the metal and leather G25 with clutch pedal and shifter... anybody have one of those?

Despite having a pretty nice camera, and some photographic training, I am terrible at shooting indoors, particularly in my condo (could it be the unique coloring of the GE Reveal bulbs??) So, despite the relatively lousy photo quality, here's my a/v system with new PDP-5020. If you click the picture, it should bring up the full size image:

other equipment:

Sanus PFFP2 stand

Rotel RSX-972 receiver
Sony SCD-C555ES SACD player
Outlaw ICBM
CyberHome DVD recorder (it was free...)
Monster PowerCenter HTS 3500 mkII
Wii - interesting that the tinted pieces that cover the LEDs in the Wii sensor bar always just look black, but the camera picks up the LEDs quite dramatically. Is that UV light that the camera sensor picks up on?

Magnepan MMG
Magnepan MGCC1
Velodyne FSX-12
Mirage OM-R2

I was with you right up until you mentioned...Monster cables...

Didnt pay retail on them so its no bother. I worked at circuit city for three years and was able to order direct from monster. Mark-up is outrageous on AV cables. If you are paying full price for them then one you have the money
and dont care or two you are a fool. I recently ordered 3 HDMI cables 3 sets of analog audio cables and 1 dig optical from mono price and hardly payed anything. Plus they are pretty good quality.

Finally got around to making my setup look decent by adding some Salamander Design Single 20s. All I need now is a center speaker stand and I will be set.

I'm not sure how to make picasa embed images so you will have to follow the link to see before and after pictures.

Yes I had it built for half the price of the ones on the web. I could not find any that would hold my center channel. I took the ideas of the ones I liked and had one made. This one is right at 20"

Here's my little studio setup that I'll be in until I graduate, maybe a year or so longer. I'm a 20 year old college junior right now so you can imagine I have a blast with this. These pics were taken in excitement a few weeks ago when I first got done rearranging things, so some tidying up and minor placement changes have been done since then.

What I'm working with is:
TV: Samsung HL-T5087S 50" LEP DLP
Consoles: PS3, XBOX 360, and PS2
Cable: Time Warner
Audio: Onkyo HT-S4100, lucked out and got it straight from Onkyo for 133 shipped so I had to jump on it, even if it didn't come in black. I think it fits in tastefully enough though.

That was fun...

My gf and I just moved into an apartment building...I bought all the electronics (HDTV, PS3, HT system) and she did all the decorating.

Waiting for my speaker and receiver to come and then i'll post up some pics

LMFAO! What a great series of posts!

Give it some time. 5 Years or so, and she won't have to "tell" you to go to the couch, you'll already be there. Lol.
