I'm pretty sure it's not the GOTY edition.

Once again, we are re-releasing some of our top PLAYSTATION 3 titles as “Greatest Hits.” Like the first set of Greatest Hits, these titles represent the best of the best at an incredible value. Starting June 16, you can now get these blockbuster titles for only $29.99.

Check out the list of Greatest Hits:

•Army of Two, Electronic Arts
•Battlefield: Bad Company, Electronic Arts
•Devil May Cry 4, Capcom
•Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Sony Computer Entertainment America
•Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Konami
•Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Sony Computer Entertainment America

Really? Army of Two is considered a PS3 Greatest Hit? That seems kind of odd.

honestly I think the term "Greatest Hit" is more of a marketing ploy more than anything
it just allows them to have a line of "budget" titles with the same branding at the same lower price point

It's funny how people on the comments are asking about Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank, as if games that haven't been out for a year would be part of this. One guy even said MGS4 "needed to be added."

The funny thing is in other regions all three of those titles are sold under the Greatest Hits/Platinum label.

Wasn't Prologue $40 new? Doesn't seem like much of a price drop. Seems like it should be $20. I've been waiting for R&C to hit Greatest Hits. Might need to pick it up.

this is a $10 drop in MSRP

retailers obviously are free to charge less if they want

I'm disappointed not to see Uncharted in there. Been holding off since becoming a PS3 owner 6 months ago expecting a price drop to be in the near future for it, but not yet. Maybe this fall when the sequel comes out.

Were they sold that way last July, when I made that comment? Then again, MGS4 hasn't been out for quite a year, and now it's been added.

+1 I am rather shocked they haven't lowered the price yet. You'd think they'd want to attract more people with the sequel hitting in the Fall.

Repeating a comment I made in the other thread: if they lower the price on Uncharted, then the 160GB PS3 bundle becomes a bad deal (or an even worse deal). I suspect we won't see the price come down until Sony gives up on the PS3 bundle.

It's good to see MGS4 for $29.99 new, cause that means I might find a used one for $20 on Craigslist.

I've got a used copy of MGS4 sitting on my shelf that I'd give away for $20.
