It's multiplayer, but it's a different map than the beta.

I noticed that the EU demo is 1.4gig, while the US demo is only around 900MB. Any theories on the size difference?

Really? Ive been using the crap outa that thing in the 360 demo and I had no problems, I can bet the PS version is the same (just Dled it last night). Although I guess I never did realy use it in the Beta, was it easier then?

Theres nothin better than bein able to take out heavy guns, tanks with a missle then spamin the "spot" button for your buddies on the ground. Now if only everyone else would figure that out.

Seemed the same to me..

One thing I can't for the life of me figure out is the UAV secondary fire.

Anyone know how to do it? I thought I heard it had a minigun on it in addition to the airstrike.

You have to open the 'vehicle secondary fire' perk and put it on your class.

I couldn't figure it out either until I read it somewhere a couple days ago.

Well, I guess that makes sense.

Kinda of stupid IMO though, since most vehicals only have one main weapon you can use as the pilot.

This map is cool. I love the sloping landscape and all the trees.

Never really played a sniper in the first BC. But with all theese vehicles and explosions, being a sniper takes skill now :P Taking a dude out from 700yds with explosions going off around you making your scope jump all over the place plus adjusting for bullet drop, makes sniping so much more rewarding, . You have to wait for the right time, adjust a few mils up, and BAM!

Also great is that if you are really far out then noob snipers cant just spawn and take you out cause they know your position. They fire and miss ( or hit but not kill), and you'll have time to kill them again

Be cool if they add spin drift (movement by the rotation of the bullet) for those really long shots as well It feels good sniping from long distance.

Cool demo and it should improve their sales dramatically for any doubters out there.

You guys are starting to get me pumped up for this game. I never even thought about purchasing BFBC2 until yesterday (never played BFBC), but I'm sort of yearning for a different (better?) experience than MW2. I prefer larger, more wide open, maps that allow greater variation in the game play. Seems like this fits that bill, right? Anyway, looking forward to trying out the demo tonight. Hopefully it's what I'm looking for.

Put some time into the demo last night. The jury is still out. Need to get used the so-so hit detection and lackluster starting weapons with no "feel". Love the open map, vehicles, and gamemode though.

This is a completly different experience than all other FPS because of the destruction. You cant just pick "your spot" every map and camp because IT MIGHT NOT EVEN BE THERE!!! I hardly ever go through doorways in BFBC, I just make my own. If a tree or building is in your line of sight, TAKE IT DOWN! Every game requires a different approach.

Thinking about jumping on a cheap used copy of BFBC thru the sale mentioned in the Playstation Deals thread. Is it worth it for $11?

For $11 sure but when BC2 comes out it will most likely collect dust. I would wait for the release and just play the hell out of the demo for now.

Just found out my friend who is in the same boat as me regarding BFBC2, wants to pick up the first one too. I'll just pick up 2 copies and get a 3rd used game for $1 on that sale. Everybody wins!

And yet the scope stays perfectly still while I'm scoped in STANDING? Very realistic with bullet drop but contradicts when the scope stays perfectly stationary when scoped-in. Sure it jumps around with surrounding explosions (cool) but the only time the scope should be still is when prone w/bipod. Can't wait to unlock the semi-auto sniper rifle.

that's not a bad deal. i've been playing the 1st one on 360 lately - trying not to burn myself out on this new map. the single player is fun - even though your AI partners are dummys - i think i have about a mission and a 1/2 left.

once you fire up multiplayer, you'll have a new appreciation for what they've done in bfbc2. it's good, but it's not nearly as good as the new one. first thing you'll notice is it takes almost a full clip to put someone down, and the point system is a lot weaker.

you'll have fun playing with a buddy, and for $11, it's tough to go wrong.

Demo? Nice...I didn't get in on the beta, but if the game turns out to play as nicely as some of the trailers and youtube stuff looks, it'll be awesome.

soso hit detection? I thought that was one of the strong points of the first game. Perhaps there is a little lag from so many people playing the demo? That happened at times during the open beta for me

some people complaining about hit detection don't understand when someone is running 100 yards away you have to lead your target.. they are used to cod where you just line up the sights on the target regardless of where they are..

Even in COD you have to lead your target to some degree, it's just a bit forgiving and the maps are small so you rarely have to account for much distance.

I guess I just suck at using it now then. Weird, I used to own with that thing. Maybe I used a different control scheme before and just forgot about it (seeing as the beta did save your settings).

There's nothing wrong with the hit detection.

In fact, the problem was you probably weren't hitting anything.

I had a couple friends that complained about the hit detection and it was actually related to them trying to shoot while moving. If you crouch, or even stand without moving, there are no issues with hitting someone. As soon as they realized that they were fine.

I think it even says something about that in the list of fixes from the beta - significantly decreased accuracy when moving.
