Which of the two new games would you say is less frustrating to play for non-gamers? Such that you won't get stuck hitting the controller one million times a second while standing on your head for eight hours to complete the current task?

I think Drake is a more straightforward campaign. There's a lot of searching for vents and climbing in Batman.

I'm playing both right now and love them both.

I say Uncharted 2. If you play on Very Easy mode it auto aims and you just have to puch the button to shoot.

I think they are both great games,...I highly doubt you'll get frustrated with any of the two. Imo,..none are difficult.

+1. I started Batman on Easy, U2 on Normal (I've played U1 several times), and found myself getting much more frustrated at the beginning with learning Batman's combo system and figuring out riddles to get the weapon upgrades, and how to use the various gadgets.

With U2, you can hunt for the treasures if you want, but it doesn't affect your ability to complete combat missions. The only learning curve is in figuring out which weapons to use for the best results and the platforming and puzzle sequences, which I found to be easier than in U1.

Batman is a very satisfying game (and not terribly difficult) once you learn the gameplay mechanics; so from one casual gamer to another, I wouldn't dissuade you from trying it out at some point.

Wanna bet? I gave up less than halfway through Uncharted (one) and Grand Theft Auto as I became far too bored repeating the same steps over and over to get up to the point I would be killed yet again. They need a save at THIS point for the totally inept. Sort of like the original Leisure Suit Larry series... I think there was only one way you could get killed (unprotected sex!) and you could loop back endlessly to get stuff you didn't get the first time around. They were an adventure not multiple contests.. which being inept I relate to smashing the controller.

Sounds like you would be better suited for the Hannah Montana game, or something along those lines.

I was a new gamer when I got my PS3 two years ago and I can totally relate to your Uncharted 1 frustrations. As the first game I ever completed, it took me 15 hours (finding 30 treasures) on Easy, but since I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen, I was determined. (how else could I have gotten through the flooded room, lol?)

Another option: the Ratchet & Clank games are relatively easy and lots of fun and I know the new one (Crack in Time) will have an Easy difficulty setting.

I was kidding... I have had several PS3s and I'm just trying to decide if I want to partake yet again.

If it's about save points, you'll be better off with Uncharted 2. Batman only saves when you enter or exit a large area IIRC. Uncharted 2's auto saves are very generous.

Also, generally speaking, Batman is much more "gamey" than Uncharted 2. In Batman, you have to know a bunch gaming conventions and combine them (attack combos, stealth, multiple weapon types, backtracking, item collection, special visors, map use, etc). In Uncharted 2, it's pretty much a straight line and all you have to know how to do is jump, climb, and shoot. But unlike the first Uncharted, there's much more variety in the gameplay, and you won't hit any of those difficulty spike areas (large arena battles). Uncharted 2 is much better paced and smoothly constructed than the first one.

Both are fantastic games, but Uncharted 2 is by far the easier of the two for non-gamers.

batman is not for you. Uncharted is a linear game. Can't mess it up.

I think Batman AA is overrated. Haven't played Uncharted 2 yet.

Uncharted even includes a hint button if you spend too much time in most areas.

You can download demos of Batman and Uncharted 1 from Playstation Network and try for yourself.

If you're really looking for a fun/easy video game try the Lego series. You can't die.
