The care package/tactical knife/marathon/lightweight/commando thing is ridiculously overpowered on small to medium maps. Even without the care package glitch it is ridiculous.

The akimbo 1887 is silly too.

That being said, the only game breaking glitch is the javelin.

On a side note, I especially hate the nuke on team-based games. It encourages camping on modes where it should be outlawed, and drives me insane. We were up 196-140ish on domination and a guy on their team called in a nuke. Kudos to him for getting 25 kills, but we were working as a team to capture the flags. Its frustrating that someone can enter a team-based objective game and not bother to care what mode is being played and get the win. I've seen 4 nukes in the last two days, it is becoming more common in the games I've played. Now when I play domination in groundwar I'm going to have to focus on how many kills the other team has.

I don't think the marathon/lightweight/commando thing is too bad - I used to until I tried it. There has been an instance here and there where I probably shouldn't have got a knife kill, but I'd say it's balanced to where someone hip fires and kills you with steady aim from a distance - which is part of the same grouping of perks.

Akimbo 1887's need to be fixed. It's borderline game breaking when a whole team is using them, which I ran into yesterday. Something is wrong when you are getting killed 40-50 yards away, and you watch the replay to see a tight reticle. I haven't used akimbo shotguns, but I've used akimbo subs and machine pistols, and neither have that kind of accuracy.

Someone should have just lied and said that PSN would be suspending accounts. Fear of penalty might have stopped half the idiots.

suspending free accounts doesn't make sense. They can easily make another one.

Suspending consoles from PSN on the other hand would help until update 1.06 is deployed

I think that when you are thrown into a game in the middle your win or loss for that game doesnt count... at least that is how it was in past COD games. I know this for a fact because I never got any credit for a win when trying to do the accomplishments of winning "X" number of a certain game type joining in the middle of a game. I guess I could be wrong...

I get the loss whenever I lose after joining mid-game in COD4 and MW2. Yesterday I was put into a game that had already ended with the end-game scoreboard up and I got credit for the loss. A host left with the score at 198-low 100's in domination and because it couldn't migrate to another host we all got a loss. Both COD4 and MW2 give you losses for anything other than a Win screen.

I'll have to check that video out when I get home. I do remember seeing someone with a tactical knife on Skidrow destroying people, but that was before I started messing around with commando.

Hopefully the upcoming patch addresses the shotguns and this too.

this Javelin glitch is ruining this game. IW needs to speed this patch through to Sony right away.

I don't think I've ever been as pissed at a glitch as I have about this one.

I agree. I played Demolition last night and a guy on the other team was using it. It is frustrating but luckily my team won the match. Hope the patch gets here soon.

And now there's word of an "infinite airdrop" glitch. Something about throwing a knife at a weapon on the ground, then repeating it. I dunno. But the glitcher ends up getting another airdrop after each routine.

yeah, that's been out for a while as well. something with smoke grenades and then the care package marker. It is a bit more complicated as it needs a series of button presses timed rather quickly. It is still a glitch nonetheless

Someone told me you need to drop the package next to a weapon that's on the ground, pick up the weapon, then double tap square on your care package to cue up a 2nd one.

I haven't tried it, nor do I care to, but have played against people using it.

People are starting to nuke boost (as previously mentioned in this thread, someone on one team uses tactical insertion to spawn near a friend on the other team and repeatedly die until the nuke is achieved). Complain about this if you see it.

this is part of the reason that i don't understand why this game is so popular. I understand games not being 100% realistic, but having guys jump and then shoot me with 2 shotguns from 50 yards out and then after respawning having a guy run into my bullets taking about 3 to the chest only to knife me from 7 yards away, makes it really difficult to get into this game...

**** like this happens to me a whole lot less than being killed the normal way, so it's hardly an issue.

3 nukes in 5 matches last night. Caught a guy on my team doing it - couldn't kill him, so I just kept going near him shooting hoping the other team would see the dot on the map.

And then they brag about getting the nuke.

HQ Pro has been reduced to nade spam =/ Idk if this was an issue with COD4 as I wasn't much involved with it's MP, but man.. all people seem to do is sit back and nade\ humper the HQ point from afar, or sit back and snipe. This is especially frustrating when your teammates are "supporting" you from a distance like that and everyone dies inside the area and then they are helpless\\worthless to try and stop the opposing team from destroying it. I literally get to a cap point, get naded, respawn, get to a cap point, get naded, repeat that cycle 2 more times, finally cap, get naded, and then watch my team die and everyone who sucks get awesome K\\D ratios while the actual good players who complete objectives get steamrolled.

Annoying.

I was definitely playing pre-patch last night then. Last game I played around 10:30 EST was with Javelin glitchers.

Any other noticeable fixes other then the rock in Afghan and the care package glitch (like toned down akimbo 1887's!!!)?

COD4 was nade heavy because one of the perks was to have 3 grenades. So people would have 3 grenades, rockets, and a perk similar to danger close (extra explosive weapon damage). If I were you, I would create a class that utilizes the Blast Shield and Smoke Grenades. I play domination a lot while on ground war and have a smoke equipped on all of my classes. Throw it down just before you try to capture the area; it makes snipers useless, and provides just enough confusion to catch a flag. I haven't used the Blast Shield a lot, but it would be great for nade heavy modes. COD:WAW had a Flak Jacket, which provided the same effect as the Blast Shield, and it worked great.

I got akimbo 1887'ed quite a bit last night, so I'm afraid I didn't notice a change there. Also, I've never actually seen anyone do the care package glitch in-game, but I read that it was fixed. Javelin is definitely gone. Was so amazing to play a row of matches and win or lose without the added frustration.

I've been playing online shooters pretty religiously since the days of SOCOM 2, and I have never seen a gun as unbalanced as the akimbo 1887's.

I'd be downright embarassed to kill someone while using them.
