If you download movies from PSN, you cannot share the same PSN account on multiple PS3 consoles. Each PSN account is locked to one PS3 console for movies, free or paid.
You would have to create different PSN accounts for each PS3 consoles and if you buy movies from PSN, you will need to preload each PSN account with funds.
The downloaded movies from PSN are also locked to the PS3 console. The movies cannot be redownloaded or transferred to another PS3. The download movies can be backup but can only be restored to the same PS3 that they were backup from.
As for firmware 3.15 data transfer, it has to transfer everything to another PS3 and then delete everything from the first PS3. It's not practical if you want to share or sync your hard drive data with multiple PS3 consoles.
If you have locked saved games as many PS3 games now lock the saved game to the hard drive, you cannot sync your game progress with more than one PS3 console.
Sony is making owners of more than one PS3 console very different in sharing/syncing their PS3 hard drive contents.
PS3 is advertised as It does everything except letting you share all the data you own your PS3 hard drive with another PS3 hard drive that are owned by you.
