So far I've been using Tversity and my PC to store movies to watch on PS3.

The one feature that's missing: bookmarking. If I watch 60 minutes of a movie in one go, I'd like to be able to turn off the PS3 and resume where I stopped. So far, this only works for DVDs and movies on the PS3's HDD.

If I connect an external hard drive or enclosure to the PS3, will it bookmark my position in files on that HDD?

My only other alternative is to get a bigger drive for the PS3, which leaves me with an extra 120GB laptop drive that I don't really need.

Even if you use an external HD it still won't bookmark where you left off

From what I remember the video will continue where you left off on an EXT HDD as long as you don't turn off the PS3. Not a great solution though. Noticed this when jumping around the kids cartoon episodes.
