Wow, surprised there wasn't a thread on this. The demo's up in the PS Store, and the 5 episodes package cost's $20. Spent about 2 minuets in the demo and backed out and bought it! Yup, you can tell it's going to be that good!

Christopher Loyd is back as Doc, and the guy they got to do Marty is a dead ringer.

While I haven't played it, the Dev is Telltale Games, makers of Sam & Max which is highly recommended apparently.

I think all of #1 is free, so technically it's 4. But not sure since I bought it right away. So 4+1, or really 5 for $20. Seems about 2-2.5 hours of play, first time through per episode if it keeps up.

Gameplay is pretty simple, and reminiscent of the old point/click/clue adventure games on PC. But to me it's perfect.

The writing and acting is spot on, the GFX is great, and the humor and irony of the movies and little in's has been taken up a notch. I even got an easter egg trophy that I don't want to spoil, but had me lol.

The only thing I don't like is the explanation for the Delorean, but I can overlook it.

4 and 1/2 episodes to go, but I could easily see this tunred into a full fledged new movie (or trilogy if there enough material)

I bought the bundle for all 5 episodes for $19 bucks last night and I'm also done with episode 1.

The story is great so far.But the game controls & camera angles are pretty bad.

Still worth it though for this price. Especially if your a fan of the Back To Future Trilogy.

I hope the graphics are better than what's in the video. The video looked like the textures and everything were iPhone quality.

Did you play it at 720/1080? The GFX have a distinct cartoon, almost cell shade appearance, but the models are pretty high poly and game crisp on my 70". The style is stylized, but there's nothing holding back the GFX, looks great to me. PS3 version also has quite a bit of AA added, so no jaggies.

The controls a little bad, but it's not a game where precision counts. The camera angles are fine, but they should have made the controls slowly change as you switch perspectives which seems to be the norm for these types of games. Either that, or allowed the old school resident evil tank options.

***SPOILER Warning***

I am at the part where you need Marty has to rescue Doc off the police car. Your only options are to go left or right. The left side is blocked by the spare tire where Marty tries to move it and says "ahh no" each time you that direction.I go to the right side of the car and view the keys.

I know that your suppose get & use the car antenna to get the keys. But I'm stuck and see no arrows on how to get on the roof.

Someone please help.

The graphics look like a game out of a cereal box.

Meh.....I'd rather watch the movie on blu-ray.

Now if Rockstar games made it that would be a different story.

Umm...

R* has never been known for great or groundbreaking graphics on any of the GTA games on PS2 or this console generation with GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption had nice but not great graphics like Uncharted 2, God Of War III, and Mass Effect 2.

L.A. Noire looks promising with team bondi's new motion screen cap tech.

Bottom line is R* has always been know for creating open world sand box games, over the top and controversial story lines with their games.

Agreed....I've always thought of R* games as second rate graphically. They go for the controversy with hookers.

Haha.

Tried the demo last night, not really my kind of game even tho I'm still playing the Monkey Island game deluxe edition on PC.

Don't know if it's because it was pretty slow-pace at the beginning or the Back to the future theme that doesn't appeal to me but after like 15 minutes I quitted

wow tried the game but I was expecting more. I think the game sucks. I'm sorry I like all three BTTF but I know people that can do a better game than this. I was expecting to drive the car. choosing a time where you would want to go, he'll even do some cowboy stuff but cmon this is pathetic.
Very boring...

Apparently the Demo ends with taking the notebook from Biff. There's really not much meat in the Demo then.

Right after that, a Doc-less Delorean shows up with of all things, Einstein alone in it. That's where the story really starts, and it's a damn good story so far.

As for the gameplay, yes it's simple. It's a throwback to the point, click, text sierra adventure games of the past. You find and use items, and try to figure out where to go, and how to accomplish objectives with what you've found.

Not everyone cup of tea, but I think it works really well here.

It's heavy rain, without all the quick time ********, in BTTF universe.

The demo was bad. Every time I tried to do something clever, it would resort to one of the dialogs I had heard already, so I kept hearing the same thing over and over. This kind of game play is old school and painful now a days.

Now playing: TLoU PS4
Recently Finished: Watch Dogs, Southpark: Stick of Truth, Infamous: SS
PSN & XBL: Scuzzlebutt33

Is it possible for a game to totally jump the shark and be freaking awesome at the same time?

Because I think this was a first for me. Tons of smiling BTTF moments and real great story, packaged with some funny, off the cuff humor and weird circumstances needed to turn the story into a game. Also a time paradox or two, and a eventual poke or two to those who feel the need to geek out about it.

Well worth the $5/episode I paid for it.

I've been very pleasantly surprised with this series, which I bought during the recent $10bundle sale, thanks to the input from some folks here in the PSN Store update thread. Not only am I enjoying the story and the nostalgia trip, but the gameplay as well, even though I didn't really think it was my cup of tea when I tried a Sam & Max demo a few months back. It's the perfect break from some of the more quick reaction, and often frustrating, games I usually play.

You know what I was thinking? There's rumblings of a BTTF remake, which would be horrible.

BUT

If they did it with CGI, ala Avatar and used Loyd and the new guy as Marty's voice, I think this story would work really well as a 3 part trilogy with a little editing. They'd need to find a new VA for Jennifer's younger self (didn't cut it in the game), but that's not a big deal.

That would work, and the CGI would allow it to work by modeling the characters looks as they were their young selves. Add in a MJ Fox cameo, and well, it's a slam dunk that would most likely hold up to the originals. Better then a re-imagining, or a live action sequel trilogy, which is where were probably headed.

Oh please I hope they leave BTTF alone. The 80's vibe and cheese factor is a big part of what's fun about the film. Sure they could make it look the same, but good luck getting the heart right.

Actually what made the films (and now the game) work was the relationship between Doc and Marty IMO. The game nailed it, just as the movies did.

Why not extend that to the big screen, especially if they're going to eventually do it.

Better that, then the travesty we got with Indy 4. Which was also a case study that age can kill a character as much as a bad script also can.

Had fun with this game.. Really liked the cheese factor, but kind of wish they would have leveraged the music a bit more.

Best part was the game rained trophies! Now off to replay to 100% all 5
