I am thinking of buying a PS3 slim. I am mostly buying so that I can replace my CD player, DVD, and store all my CDs in it. My question is; do you know if music transfer from CDs retain their quality and integrity, just like in the CD?

Another question, I have a Logitech, Hamony ONE, remote control for my systems. Can I program it so it controls the PS3?

That sounds like a general compression/ripping question. You can rip the discs on any computer and choose how much "loss" you want, you can even make them lossless. The PS3 can also do the ripping, but I don't know hoiw much control you will have.

I just use a high bitrate MP3 format and cannot tell the difference.

Now playing: Destiny, Madden, Diablo 3, PvZ: GW
Recently Finished: Infamous: First Light, Watch Dogs
PSN & XBL: Scuzzlebutt33

The PS3 will let you rip directly, I think the highest quality is something like 320kbps. Not lossless, but very high quality.

I would rip elsewhere and archive and then copy to PS3 anyways. I ripped all my CDs to lossless and then ran a program to convert to MP3. If I ever want to change format, I will already have them all archived in a lossless format.

On the Harmony question, you will need a Bluetooth converter that converts the IR signal to Bluetooth. Just search the remote control forum or this forum.

Search is your friend.
