Also, though I couldn't really get into it, a lot of people consider Persona 4 Golden THE must have game for the Vita. You have to like jrpgs though. And I forgot to mention Tearaway -- it was made specifically for the Vita, but was so well received, it is now coming to PS4.

The other games on sale that you should take a closer look at imo are Dragon's Crown, Lumines,

Besides Wipeout 2048, LBP Vita, Persona, what else is Vita specific? I don't care for anything less.

You may already have Dragon's Crown if you were a Plus member and put the PS3 version in your download queue when it was free a few months back. Though not Vita exclusive, it's considered a top game for the console as Mikazaru indicated.

Yeah, I used to buy a lot of games for my Vita (on release day too), but so many of them ended up being free with PS+, that I don't buy nearly as many as I used to and always wait for a sale now. I forgot that Dragon's Crown was a PS+ game.

Cravit8, just make sure the game doesn't have PSP or PSOne in the description, if you don't want to settle for lower res graphics. I noticed that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars doesn't have it in the description on the Vita Store, but it is actually a PSP game. This is unusual though. I prefer to use the web store anyways, to avoid having so many email receipts from Sony.

Fat Princess is free.
But I have like 100 of those kind of games on my iPad.

I'm enjoying the Vita. First time with it today with 9 hours of usage on a road trip.
But it's so weird, I have mixed thoughts on it. The graphics are so similar to my ipad 3 games, that I feel the only reason I'm digging it is because of physical buttons and tiny thumbsticks, and that makes me feel like I bought a $200 pair of thumbsticks.

And what the frell the wifi chip is the weakest one I've encountered since 2004.

Pinball is _awesome_ on the Vita. Way better than the PS3.
(ps3 flippers lag a bit).

Of course the PS4 is slightly ahead with better visuals and latency is gone, but, it's not portable.

Since you can do PSNow on your Vita, It has just been given new life. Played The Last of Us on my Vita last night.

Awesome.

CRAP! I missed out on that one too. I have the PS3 version, but I didn't realize that it wasn't a "Cross Buy" and I never added the Vita version to my cart.

Question:

I have all the Star Wars tables purchased on my PS3 / PS4 for Zen Pinball 2. On the Vita, I have the first 3 tables available on Zen Pinball 2 and to play the other 3, I have to install "Star Wars Pinball 2". That's really annoying since they both take up 200+ MB on my dinky 8 GB card.

Is there any way around this?

So glad I got wipeout 2048 and many others for free with PS+.

Am confused on the pinball games though, Zen Star Wars 2 and Star Wars pinball don't seem to want to install at same time. But they are listed as different games.

Go to the store and the tables from Star Wars Pinball should show up for free in Zen Pinball. There's no need or reason to have Star Wars Pinball installed concurrently. If that doesn't work, make sure you post a score on the tables in Star Wars Pinball and then try to import again.

There is if you are going for the two different sets of trophies. I liked the trophy list in the standalone Star Wars pinball game (which was free for Plus members), so that's what I installed on my Vita. On my PS3, I played the Star Wars tables within the Zen Pinball 2 framework, though I don't see any reason why I shouldn't be able to play it both ways on the Vita.

I'll check that out tonight.

BTW, I killed your Darth Vader high score on my Vita.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss is one of my favorite Vita games. I picked it up free from somewhere, can't remember if it was bundled with the console or a PS+ freebie.

When PS+ was first expanded to include the Vita, Uncharted: Golden Abyss was one of the free games. (Another one was Gravity Rush; those two games were what prompted me to become a PS+ subscriber.)

Thats intersting to know that those starwars kiosk apps have their own trophies!

I've always used the zen2 kiosk for all of the tables.

That's what I'm trying now.

Also, I purchased the 3rd Star Wars pack and the South Park pack on my F'n PS4 and I just found out if you purchase on the PS4, you can't import to Vita or PS3. You HAVE to buy them on the Vita or PS3.

UGH

Update me on your findings, thanks.

I wasn't really interested in a vertical style game being played in landscape mode till I realized the vita can be rotated.

Disappointing news:

Quote:
Maps is getting erased from history with the March software update, which will, naturally, also kill the geographic elements of the Near social gaming app. YouTube, meanwhile, will stop working on April 20th, although the app itself is being pulled from the PlayStation Store from today.
http://www.engadget.com/2015/01/28/p...utube-no-more/

I never used those features -- I just use my Vita to play games -- but it's sad to see Sony actually reducing the functionality of the Vita.

Ehh...

Never used Maps, tried Near and thought it was stupid because it kept showing myself as the person playing the games in my area.

I can get Youtube on my other devices, same goes with Netflix.

Just let me keep playing games on my Vita.

My old Atari Lynx can do that too. It's a nice option for games like Klax.
