This would be great. I would join... I do not always have a Mike, but I would love to try this out

I play a lot of object based games... I am not very good, but get a ton of assist every game (I average 15-20 assist a game now)

Also please add me with "AVS" on the invite, if you guys want

LOL yes, but I am lucky to get more than 10 kills a game... I use recon pro, with flash bangs, along with recon drone(s)... I love that setup.. lets me get to an EMP really fast, and helps a lot in games like domination

so flash bangs mark people with Recon? Sweet! i thought it was only with frags or semtex.

I assume you are using Hardline Pro for the 2 assists = 1 Kill bonus

I am going to have to try this setup tonight!

Just curious as to what guys are using for sensitivity. I have started to lower mine slowly and am at 3. I find my accuracy going up just can't swing a 180 as fast.

Max it out! Takes time to get used to but once you get it down you can't go back.

I play on 2 sensitivity. LOL, I can't turn on anyone. Anything higher and my accuracy starts to suffer. I find I play better if I slow down anyways, so I'm ok with the trade off. You might want to listen to Jukebox though, he does much better than I do.

I feel the same way. I used to play on normal (3, for ps3 I believe). But I moved it to 7/very-high, which is perfect for me.

I'd imagine its 3 @ mookie

I played on 7 on COD4 forever. Then I started to play search and destroy and randomly thought it was a good idea to move it to max. Haven't gone back since.

When you 1st go high your aim will be pretty out of wack. But as you get used to it you'll realize you get more kills. Easier to shoot enemy support down. As well as do a quick turn around and kill an enemy behind you.

I'll be on tonight at about 7-7:30 pst. if anyone wants to play some domination. I usually run with either an ACR or P90 depending on map size, and always carry the Stinger. I've been using the specialist package to xp up quicker but can very depending on the group

What works for some doesn't work for all. I could never play that slow. NEVER. I've seen him bump it up to 7 in one of his vids. I can't imagine 2. Huge disadvantage IMO.

I forgot which COD does it.. But, I noticed when I was playing split-screen on a 360, very high was only like 5 I think. Where as on ps3 it was 7 for very high setting

Then again doesn't randy only use the spas12 in mw2 (his most watched stuff). That might explain it. Don't want to overturn with a pump shotty vs a automatic gun

Hi Guys,
I'm still trying to work out some issues with my router and might be close to being set. I've been posting in the PS3 setup sticky but will give the highlights here so that you can check your router settings and make sure you're getting the best you can from it. NOTE/DISCLAIMER: these are just recommendations and are based on my personal research regarding dropped/blocked network traffic from app's like bit torrents. Just because I'm comfortable with these settings, please use your own judgement before making router changes.

I've been experiencing lag and blocked packets from two new netgear routers: WNR3500L and WNDR4000. I also have seen traffic from my PS3 being flagged as a denial of service attack (DoS: STORM). You see that by surfing into your router and looking at the log. I'm running two game consoles on my LAN so running a DMZ or using port forwarding/triggering is not a possibility as these require turning UPnP off. So one console would work well while the other would suffer. Also note that even with the optimized settings, the PS3 reports NAT Moderate most of the time. I'm ignoring that based on testing/playing MW3.

Important settings for "best" router performance for MW3:

* enable UPnP on the router and in the PS3 network configuration, UPnP settings page.
* set NAT Filtering to Open, WAN setting page. You'll still have NAT operative, but just less restrictive. Running firewalls on your PC's is recommended.
* disable SPI (stateful packet inspection) firewall, DoS protection or port scanning, WAN setting page. Different routers call it something different but something like this settings will show up as a check box to disable it. This was the setting causing the throttling on the port and sometimes flagging game play traffic erroneously as a DoS attack.

* make sure you do not have a router behind a router situation. your modem (cable or DSL) should be in bridge mode or equivalent first, if it has a router built in. Not doing so results in 2 layers of NAT which is very bad for on-line gaming. The above 3 fixes will not help you until you address this.

Game play after making the last change (disabling DoS/SPI firewall) was really, really good. It was like a background layer of lag was lifted. I'd be interested in hearing others experiences, after making this change alone.

I hope this helps others get the most out of their router and MW3 online gaming experience.
Best,
jeff

So Bowling tweet 15 hrs ago that all akimbo weapons would be getting a 50% decrease in fire rate. The Hot fix was updated last night.

Now the fix is retarded. Why would holding 2 weapons reduce the fire rate? The accuracy yes. Fire rate no.

But...

Drift0r on youtube already has a video show the update. Instead of decreasing the fire rate all akimbo machine pistols now fire faster than a single machine pistol.

Skorpion - 30% increase
G18 - 32% increase
FMG9 - 34% increase
MP9 - 48% increase!!!! (Still less rpm than FMG9 though)

These guys are truly becoming jokes. I love this game but there are just something I shake my head at...

Good, I roll akimbo MP9s on my specialist class. All these changes they do are lame anyway. They come up with the game, design it, test it, then when people do well with some guns as opposed to others they try to nerf it. Laughable. Most of the guns in MW3 are really good and accurate, so if they do successfully nerf one (unlike their attempt here) you can probably still beast with it or just pick one of the 20 other choices.

Yeah it's a bug without an estimate for a patch. Lame. This is an amateur mistake for a supposed professional franchise. Does anyone know if they've issued the Bluetooth quality patch yet?

Man. That's funny because it just switched all my usual akimbo machine pistols to akimbo P99's. They work quite well, even more so than any akimbo MP's, in my opinion.

Hey great Post, tips like this can really make a difference. I just recently installed the dgnd3700 netgear modem/router. i updated the firmware and everything works fine however when i do a connection speed test on my ps3, it tests fine except when it gets to the connection speeds and it errors and does not give speeds and says a long message about "router may not support IP fragments" i have tried everything, yes evern doing multiple MTU changes. However while gaming i have no issues. It just bothers me that i might not be getting the best experience. I am an IT person and am very familar with networks. Ps3 does have it own Static IP, it is in the dmz, upnp and QOS are on, nat is open. i am out of options. Does anybody have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
