Hello people,

This is my first post here so bare with me ;P
So i went ahead and got my self a 2TB external drive, formated with FAT32 and created the "Video-Music-Photos-Games" folders.
I copied all my material respectively on each folder. Everything works like a charm, but i noticed two things i'd like to ask you about.

1) Under my "Video" folder i made sub folders like "Movies", "Full series", e.t.c
PS3 wouldn't recognize the media under "Full series". So what i did was i deleted the folder and moved all my series under "Movies" and skipped being all tidy. PS3 recognized my media.. Why is that? PS3 cannot handle media being into multiple sub folders?

2)Some of the media it wont recognize. I know there are specific codecs PS3 reads, but there must be a way to read more, a plugin or something?

That's all,

Thank you in advance,
Leo

Not sure, as I have my externals set up the same way. One folder for Movies, another for TV. Each movie has it's own folder, as does each series, with subfolders for each season.

As for the codec problem, you'll either have to stream media or re-encode the file to another format. For this reason, I use a HTPC primarily for movies, and PS3 for all my TV episodes.

Try renaming the "Full Series" folder to TV? Not sure man.

When you scroll over to your external HDD on the xmb, just press triangle, and then "Display All". This way you can name your folders what ever you want and have many subfolders.
