I bought 2 cheap copies of the original army of two last weekend with the intent of mailing one to my brother so we could play online coop, but i saw some stuff online that implied that army of two online was discontinued.

Can anyone confirm this? Is it now impossible to play the original Army of Two online in coop mode due to the manufacturer turning it off?

Thanks, I'd like to know before I rip it open so i can get something else instead.

Unfortunately, yes. It is impossible to play if EA shuts off the server. And I think the sequel is discontinued too, or will be soon.

It's a horrible policy.
