It's fantastic. They left the good stuff alone, added guns, more variable/interesting enemies, and have introduced many more memorable characters. I loved the first one. 100%'d the game and all DLC. The best writing I've ever experienced from a game (mainly in the DLC). The sequel seems to be shining in this regard as well.

The best thing about the game is that it gives you a flawless online co-op experience. That's impressive when you think about all of the other big titles released over the last year or so that have been plagued with multiplayer issues. Joining is speedy, chat is perfectly clear, and I have yet to experience a second of lag.

Amazing game.

I was gonna make a thread for this, too - but I've been having too much fun playing!

I LOVE this game!

Love Claptrap! (Spongebob much?)

I got this on release day, and have been playing co-op with a friend. Right now I'm a level 15 assassin (my friend's a commando) and the last side mission we completed was "Out of Body Experience," where you reinstall an AI core into a robot body. That might have been the funniest one so far, although Hammerlock's "The Name Game" was also pretty hilarious too.

Love the game! Not a fan of Gunzerker like I was Berzerker so digging the Soldier at the moment and at lvl 14. Will give the Zero a go on the second playthru.

Anyone wants to coop add me! F1SH_KC

Loving the game so far. Builds well on the first one taking all the good parts (amusing story, leveling, tons of guns & not overdrawn out cut scenes), but is a little more polished in a lot of areas.

Playing local co-op with my son. He's Gunzerker & I'm going Assassin and started a single player playthrough with the Siren. Still early on, but I like the Siren's special skill best of the 3 so far, although my guess is I'd love the turret too...

I've been pleased with the sequel - it's a worthy successor & given the amount of time we played the first Borderlands, that's high praise...

So far my primary complaint about the game is that you get a lot of messages from NPCs while the battle in still raging, and you're too busy fighting pyro nomads to pay attention to what they're saying. I know there are a bunch of funny lines I've missed because of that.

Glad its not only me! Tons of times I have had to run away from the battle so I can either read what they are saying or hear it. Many times I have hit the button that cancels some stuff as well. When I get missions tend to spam the activate missions button and cancels what they were going to say about it.

While I do welcome the addition of horizontal split screen, I can’t stand how the buy/sell menus don’t auto adjust along with it. It makes it a real pain having to scroll to the bottom to see how much cash I have and then scroll back up when buying items.

Also, when viewing your guns, is there no info on what percent zoom each scoped weapon has? If so, I have yet to see it. I think I am level 11 soldier. So far most of the loot has been useless repeaters and not-so-great shotguns. I have picked up a nice SMG, finally, along with a nice assault rifle.

Otherwise, pretty solid game that plays a lot like the first. Seems like the difficulty is a bit higher, which is good I suppose.

I think the game is great but my biggest complaint is that there are too many boxes, crates, lockers, etc. I wish there were fewer that contained more of that item. So instead of opening 6 lockers and getting $2 per locker, just have 3 lockers that give you $4 per locker.

Alcohol. The cause of and solution to all of life's problems.

Looting is just part of the game. Gearbox prides itself on creating 3 bajillion different weapons...so they've got to hide them somewhere!

The first campaign DLC, Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty, comes out today. It's been only four weeks since the game was released, which seems pretty fast.

I just finished the game this past weekend, and definitely plan on playing the DLC, but I think I may take a break.

Finished my first playthrough solo this weekend with Axton. I think he is probably the best class to play solo with his turret. I didn't have too much trouble with any particular part. I did encounter one frustrating moment during the final mission. When I got to the Vault of the Assassin, I used the fast-travel station to go back to Sanctuary to respec not realizing you couldn't fast-travel back to the Vault of the Assassin. So I had to run all the way back through Hero's Pass and of course all the enemies respawned including the Badass Constructor at the end! Died a few times there trying to run past everyone.

I finished the game at level 34 and want to try the DLC but I heard it caps to level 30 on a normal playthrough. So I guess I should start a new TVHM game to tackle the DLC? Is TVHM able to be played solo? I have some friends that I'm catching up to in level that I plan to co-op with too.

Started a new game with Zero but not really digging him. I think I'll start a new game too with the Siren. I do like the low cooldown on her ability and it just looks really cool!

Amazing game!
