So I am currently expecting my first little one, and I decided to pick up some headphones so I can play while baby is sleeping without shaking the whole basement lol. I bought a pair of Beats Wireless headphones thinking that I would be able to hear sound through them as well as use the built in mic.

The mic portion works great but there is no sound through the headphones. I guess I was hoping that it would stream via bluetooth to them just like my phone does. I think I was wrong here (correct me though if I am wrong).

My guess, is that I will have to run wired to my amp through the headphone jack on the front. Is this a correct assumption? My current setup is as follows:

Projector: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX40177

Receiver: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/denon-denon-5-1-channel-3d-home-theatre-receiver-avr-1513-avr-1513/10199397.aspx?lang=en-CA&pcname=&sku=10199397&path=39b4362b020c943ea01ca47ec597bb73en02

Front Speakers: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/precision-acoustics-precision-acoustics-classic-tower-speakers-66t-pairs-classic66t/10175865.aspx

Center Channel: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/precision-acoustics-2-way-center-channel-speaker-hd-c/10101486.aspx?lang=en-CA&pcname=&sku=10101486&path=47ed6bc0cf45582d67fa6ee5a5f337b8en02

Subwoofer: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/polk-audio-polk-audio-10-200-watt-powered-subwoofer-psw110-black-psw110/10086825.aspx?path=b68118b03901b0cb8d7a82869cabfdfden02

Rear In Ceiling Speakers: http://www.klipsch.com/cdt-2650-c-in-ceiling-speaker

All speaker wire is 16 gauge ran through walls to wall plates.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I love the headphones and got them at a smoking price. Just need to find out how to get audio from the PS3 to come through them. Any accessories I need are fine. Thanks in advance folks!!

Mike

Congrats on expecting, you didn't provide a link to your headphone model: can't really speculate otherwise.

I would advise you to give links to the manufacturer's web site: not an e-commerce web site because you could look like you are advertising for BB.CA. I won't click through to those links.

My only experience with Bluetooth pairing a headset to my PS3 is for multiplayer chat: the audio of movies, games, etc. do not come through. So think of it as a chat channel only, not full audio. Unless you were trying to pair with your Denon AVR? You still might be able to downmix the PS3 to stereo or force the PS3 to output stero, I don't really know what or where the limitation may be. My understanding is that stereo bluetooth requires a profile capability for the headset and the transmitter.

Good grief. Just buy a set of Sony Pulse and be done with it. One USB dongle and they're installed. They sound great and have excellent build quality.

500 gigs FTW.

There's another control panel buried in the PS3 systems menu (somewhere) where you can bind the mic and/or sound to various devices. Have you been there already?

I need your sweet love, Rosetta Stone girl!
