Does anybody have this? Is it a Japan game only?

I'm not at home, so I can't look - but do you know if it's on the PSN Store?

Yes, it is available on the US store. It's received generally favorable reviews from gamers and critics alike. Most comment on how unique (and bizarre) the game is.

Is this a full retail game or a psn game? I'm not paying $60 for it but it looks like it could be fun if it's affordable.

For people that own a PS Vita, remote play is now available for Tokyo Jungle.

Thanks for the info guys! I picked it up for the Missus for Christmas - I think she'll dig it.

Finally picked this up, and I've been playing it obsessively ever since. The predator and grazer gameplay styles are quite different, and each animal in each group plays a bit differently, which keeps things interesting. The constant stream of challenges, unlocks, and life cycle gameplay is really addictive, and the occasional story chapters break things up nicely with some more scripted moments. I'm really enjoying it.

And you can play it on your Vita with Remote Play. Tried that yet?

Don't have a Vita, so no, I haven't.

Just finished the story mode. That final fight was a real pain in the ass! And even with the story done, I still have 16 more animals to unlock. Getting a lot of value out of this one. God Of War: Ascension has been sitting in its shrink wrap all week because I keep playing Tokyo Jungle instead...LOL.

Finally made it past the 100 year mark... Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
...with the ERC-2000. Not having to worry about mating made things easier. I came very close to finally getting all the challenges done, but my final set required me to mark 10 times and kill 35 animals in an environment where everything was a dinosaur or a sabretooth, so I ran out of time. Grr...

Anyway, at some point past year 100, Homo Erectus started to show up. They spread like the plague, eliminating all other animals and forming tons of small groups all over the place. I could still kill them in one shot from a stealth attack, but they were mean and hard to kill once they saw me. And worst of all, the game wouldn't let me eat them. Once they'd taken over all of Tokyo, my only sustenance came from pigeons and gift boxes. The boxes seemed to drop more often, but it was still a losing battle. I think it was intentionally forcing the endgame. I made it to year 114 before finally dying of starvation.

Not what I expected, but kinda neat.

I've put way too many hours into Tokyo Jungle. But as addictive as it is, I can't really get back into it since I put it down.
