Hi,

I have a Panasonic TC-P50UT50 Television 120V/50~60hz (Power Supply) /NTSC (60hz refresh rate)
My country's power supply is 220V/50hz and PAL TV system.

Got a step down transformer to make the television work and I only watch movies from my pen drive. Normal cable TV does not work due to the Pal System (I think) but I do not need it now.

So the question I have is what PlayStation console and games should I buy to make sure that it works with my television and country.

Will one of the PlayStation 3 bundles sold at Amazon.com (US site) work for me?
Or do I need to get another version of PlayStation 3?

You see I am in a quite bit of a dilemma and I really need some help from the experts. Thank you.

Well, seems to me you need an NTSC PS3 to match your NTSC TV. I can't speak from experience though.

Do you think the 50hz electric frequency will effect the display in any way?

This is a very US centered site. We don't have many 220v users here. You'll have better luck using a UK forum like AVforums to get an accurate answer. You'll notice that above, Tornado is just guessing. Don't make a purchasing decision based on some random forum user's guess.

Thanks, I am doing that. Not getting any replies there...yet. I guess my problem is too unique.

Yes, you need a US PS3 if you are using a US tv.

Depends on the quality of the transformer you are using. IMO, I wouldn't risk it with a 50 inch tv and a ps3.
