I finished UC 1&2, you all were right, excellent games. Started Dead Island last night and I have a feeling its going to be a bit creepy playing in a bat cave theater. I will be ordering UC3 and a combo pack of Bioshock 1&2 shortly and start those once Dead island is complete.

Glad these are older games or I would be spending a lot of cash.

Wow no mention of Red Dead Redemption? That and Undead Nightmare have taken up so much of my time that it's not funny. So good. Also the Infamous series. That includes Festival of Blood. Play Infamous 1, Festival of Blood, and then Infamous 2. It makes more sense that way.

Since you like story based game, max payne 3 is really great. Its by rockstar. It has a very gritty story and characters with third person shooting in super gorgeous slow motion bullet time in all its glory. I haven't even finished the game myself due to time constraint but so far it has been really cool.

Another game i would recommend is heavy rain. Easily the most innovative game to have come out in the last 10 years. Its a decision based thriller where the outcome of the game is dependent on ur decision. There is no "game over" screen.

Also you can check out mass effect 2 and 3. Currently playing 2 and loving the story. Did not play 1 as part 1 is xbox and PC exclusive.

The first Mass Effect is now available for the PS3 as part of the Mass Effect Trilogy. I'd say the first game had the strongest story by far, but the weakest gameplay. (I played it on the PC.)

Mass Effect 1 is also on PSN for like $15, all by itself. It is fantastic and well worth the asking price. Great storytelling going on there.

GTA V and Beyond 2 Souls should be your last purchases for PS3.

It will be for me and a lot of other PS3 owners.

Totally forgot about that one. Yes, that game sucked up a whole bunch of my time. With all the mini games in it, you could easily spend over 100 hours on that game.

I went through Dead Island a bit and it didn't really do it for me. Odd because I like zombies and RPG elements. I picked up UC3 and I'm on that now. I also pick up a combo pack of Bioshock 1&2 which I'll play after UC3.

Check out VGFive.com. As long as your plan is to play a bunch of games and retain value on trade in's, and not needing to have the must have game right away, it's a great trading site.

Make a large request list, put a few games in to get points to spend, and sit back and let the large request list work for you. Don't hold a huge balance, as it's a virtual currency, but a game or twos worth is fine and can be reused over and over.

Between Goozex (which had issues lately) and VGFive (Awesome so far) I've probably saved $2k this Gen.
