It might be doing any better because the screenshot sharing, if that was how they got that, takes out the AA for some games, including Ass Creed IV.

Oh, I didn't know that. I'm not sure how they obtained it. From the DF article.

Quick rant:

Got my Vita today, and I want to know why in the hell they don't put everything you need in the box. It requires a standard usb cable to plug into the charger and the Vita. In the box? NO, of course not.

Second part of the rant is how in the eff do I not have a single standard usb cable in this whole god forsaken house? I've got mini usb and micro usb's out the ying yang and I can't find a damn standard usb cable. Every standard usb cable connection I've found has something else permenantly attached to the other end.

Edit: I'd like to apologize to the wonderful people at sony. It's not a standard usb cable, it is proprietary, and it was in the box.... smile.gif

They missed the original Dual analog from the PSX. Otherwise though yeah pretty cool. I'd like to see how ridiculous the transformation from the NES to the WiiU is.

I have a really basic question. Never used a PS or X-box. Contemplating moving from PC to the PS4 for racing sims. Can I use my Logitech G-25 steering wheel controller with the PS 4?

That's up in the air at the moment. Sony official stance is that developers and steering wheel manufacturers can choose to enable support in their games if they want. Driveclub has only been confirmed to work with the Thrustmaster T500RS. I don't know if Logitech will allow their PS3 steering wheels to work on the PS4, they might want to "encourage" people to buy anew again.

I'm sorry but in person the ps4 version is a notable step down from the pc version. To be far i'm comparing pc at 1440p maxed out but I was hoping it would be closer then it is.

You can't be fair if you're comparing it to 1440p though lol

I guess I'm more optimistic on that. Is Logitech even still developing new wheels? I thought I read sometime back they considered getting out of the racing wheel biz. Point being, if they're not coming up with new ones, there's little reason to "encourage" people to get new ones.

Also, having only the T500 work would shut out a bunch of people due to its cost (around $600 USD). I'm guessing it's just the only one thus far.

That is what I can do on my pc. That is one of the advantages of pc, and it can indeed look even better on pc if you have the hardware. To take away this advantage of pc is absurd as it is one of the primary positives of pc gaming over console.

My point was that it isn't an apples vs apples comparison, even @ 1080p the PC version will of course be better, but that will give us a better idea about how consoles hold up to PCs.

It will give a better idea of how consoles will hold up vs pc at 1080p and if you also remove the frame rate. PC however will no doubt move beyond 1080p in the coming years whilst consoles and the game you buy for them will remain at 1080p or below. Should I have to set my bf4 resolution to 900p when comparing it to the ps4 version? I personally don't think I should, just like when comparing ac4 at 1080p on ps4 and 720p on xbox one. That is a big difference and one that shouldn't be removed when comparing the two.

Well I have bought a console this gen and have given up on pc hardware for the moment due to it being cost prohibitive, oh and I enjoy lounging on the couch and playing on a 120" screen.

While the hardware has a larger initial investment, you save more money on the games over time thanks to all the sales. Then you have that almost every game has controller support now.

My issue with PC gaming is how quickly that initial investment becomes outdated. I almost went PC in 2011, I was ready to drop over $1,000 on parts but something came up preventing it. That PC would have been weaker than the PS4 is today.

That is why I am not going PC, your investment may still play the games at higher settings, but every year it becomes weaker compared to new hardware. Then the upgrade itch begins, and if you wait too long it may not be as simple as a new GPU or CPU. The coming DDR4 will be one such upgrade.

Then again, this gen I've platted 41 games and probably only bought 10-15 outright. If you're smart and savvy, you're also not paying $60 a pop on consoles.

I completely concur Pen. That is my line of reasoning as well. I should have stated that better. The hardware becomes outdated very quickly on a pc, hence my ps4 purchase.

PlayStation Plus, Redbox, used Gamestop games, Gamefly rentals. There are plenty of choices to get rentals or cheap games. If patient, you can also wait a couple years and get them cheap.

Watch for deals, all of my PS4 launch titles were $40 each. (B2G1) I only pay full price if it has a limited offer and no deal pops up.

$40 sounds better than $60, thanks.
