Yeah if I didn't despise MS so much, well especially the xbone reveal and the 360 alpha hardware launch at least, I'd do the exact same thing most likely. Check that, in the past I've definitely done the exact same thing. But then that spite thing bubbles up and... purchase denied.

I'm sure there's gotta at least be a Yahtzee fan or two around here, so if you've missed his E3 review eeextravaganza check it now:

My PS4 finished downloading everything last night. I thought it was downloading very slow but it was just downloading multiple items concurrently. I have no idea why it doesn't download one item at a time. Instead it was downloading three or four items at a time which slowed everything down. I hope that is something they change in the future.

I hadn't messed with the streaming apps in a while and BD playback so I took the opportunity to try them out again.

I see the Netflix app works properly now. Even sending out 5.1 pcm when using a 7.1 system. Unfortunately the other apps I tried still send out stereo and 5.1 in a 7.1 wrapper. But even in the 7.1 wrapper, at least the 5.1 is sent to the proper surround channels, unlike the XBOne.

BD playback seems very good. With PCM output the wrapper did switch between stereo, 5.1, and 7.1 the way it should be. It is certainly way ahead of what the XBOne does with BD playback.

Aside from the high power usage the PS4 seems to be a very good BD player.(although the disc transport is a little noisy) Especially when using the PCM output. Then you can still get the BD menu sounds which you can't when you bitstream. Plus with PCM output, the PS4 will still send a 24 bit, 96 khz signal. Unlike the XBOne which will only output at 48khz(unless that has changed recently)

Make that friggin' hilarious most times. As long as one keeps in mind he is more comedian than deadpanned game reviewer it all works great.

Still can't get over his CoD:MW review where he broke out the "triple :censored: hooker" metaphor. Tears ensued. So many tears.

That is my thought. Through the magic of giftcards I was able to get the PS4 and XB1 at launch for less than $500 out of my pocket for both. I currently have my eyes set on a Wii U because I am a fan of MK, but hoping for another price break.

First, why are so many of you guy's post coming up as links that lead right back to the same post?

Second, Sony needs to make some massive improvements to the parental controls on the PS4. I'm not sure if they were any better on the PS3 but they absolutely suck on the PS4. All you can do right now is block stuff for the whole console when you should be able to do it on a per account basis. So, if you block mature games, they are blocked for everyone, even your account, there is no way to just block it on specific accounts. I might be able to deal with it if it gave you the option to enter the parental control password when trying to access some blocked content. Then I'd be able to quickly enter the password whenever I wanted to play a M rated game. The way it is now it just tells you the content is block, you must go into settings and completely turn off parental controls to access anything, then remember to turn it back on when you are done.

Using sub accounts helps a little since you can block online user generated content, chat/messaging and PSN Store content but, it still does nothing for things already installed on the PS4. I've only create a sub account for 1 of my 3 kids, I'm going to wait until the other 2 are a little older and let them choose there online ID since it can't be changed. I chose the ID for the 1 account I did create and I'm sure she's going to grow up and hate it one day. Anyway, the 360 parental controls were 10x better then what Sony offers on the PS4. This needs to be addressed IMO. Granted, we only have 1 PS4 and, it is in the main living room so, our kids are never playing with out us in the room but still, it'd be nice if you could block certain content on specific accounts.

Wasn't there supposed to be a remote coming out for the PS4? I thought it was supposed to have been released months ago?

EDIT: I found it on my Amazon list. A Dreamgear remote.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EV0CTK4/...=IY7BS1AD95NWH

But it now shows it as being as unavailable. So I guess it was never released.

EDIT: I see Nyko has a PS4 remote. But it just uses a USB dongle for the IR

http://www.gamestop.com/ps4/accessor...-remote/113590

It sounds like it sucks since it does not have a PS button on it. WHich you need to get out of the apps and to turn off the system.

I don't know, the more I play the game the more I can appreciate its driving mechanics. The vehicles turn too easily for sure, but they have pretty realistic momentum around corners and they brake differently depending on what you drive. Overall it's a downgrade from GTA:V but better than what we got in GTA:IV. I'd cite SR but that game seems to go for true arcade-style driving.

Watch Dogs for me. I liked the first Infamous, loved the second. But was a bit disappointed in Second Son. The city is pretty but lifeless, and I felt the missions to be very repetitive. And when your powers let you zoom across the city so fast, it feels rather small. Granted I'm not too far into Watch Dogs as I've been doing side missions, but find it quite fun so far.

If you could combine the games that would make one heck of a game.

I lean more towards Watch Dogs right now as I love 3rd person shooting games and this game is pretty good for that (love gang hide outs and convoys). I enjoy the police chases even if too easy to get away. They need to add in melee and make some other improvements for the sequel.

Infamous hands down has better graphics, has great melee, special powers and all of that.

“YOU MAY NOT CANCEL A PRE-ORDER AT ANY TIME AND REFUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDERS, SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAWS.”

The thought that a pre-order cannot be cancelled on the PSN is confounding to me. Maybe this is standard protocol for online gaming services but up until this LoU issue I had no idea language like this existed.

Yeah, that's just crazy. But that anyone would preorder a digital game is even more confounding. What, are they gonna run out of bandwidth?

Digital sales are final once you place the order. I placed my order so I could get the extras for the preorder. Plus with the Sony stupid $150 wallet limit on the PSN, I needed to get my Wallet lower so I could add the PSN cards I had. I hate holding on to those. Once I get them I want to redeem them right away.

I don't have the issue with XBL. I had over $1K on XBL at one point. But XBL does limit you to three years for a subscription while the PSN will let you keep increasing your subscription end date.

I like to get a bunch of cards when there are sales. I would rather enter Everything as I receive them instead of holding on to them.
