Found it, called Full Game Trials, still listed as a feature on the PlayStation website. Granted it doesn't say every game but, almost a year in and no sign of this feature at all. I am a little surprised Crystal Dynamics is doing this... and frankly bummed. I had never played a Tomb Raider until the most recent one on PS4, and I liked it quite a bit. This cools my interest in future editions substantially...

It always disappoints me when we get 3rd party publishers that are platform agnostic being paid to be exclusive, just rubs me the wrong way. (In contrast I have no problem with stuff like Sunset Overdrive where it is being funded and published by MS, and Titanfall was a special case since MS stepped in and spent the money to finish the game when it was otherwise going to be cancelled. This feels different).

As someone else says, it must have been a big check...

The PS3 has Free timed trials of some games, like 30 or so, for PS+. Haven't looked for it on ps4 though.

TR is one of those reasons I bought the other console which I shall not name. That way, it matters not. Speaking of the two consoles, Digtal Foundary claims Diablo 3 runs better on the other one (pun intended), which is a switch.

Xbox Live isn't a requirement to use EA Access. It goes without saying about the multiplayer portion of games in the vault you of course need Live.

It'd be nice if they'd clarify whether it's a times or full exclusive...I'm guessing timed.

But yeah, this is the perfect example of why I've become so anti-console - they charge you a monthly fee for stuff that's free on open platforms, then take that money and spend it on exclusives to further lock you in. It's a vicious cycle, and you're essentially paying them to keep gamers divided.

I remember the controls feeling a little janky at times, though I don't recall and performance hiccups. Think overall the title was released at the wrong time when install base was too low.

Actually the way it is makes sense..d3 is very poorly multithreaded, so it's a case where the slightly higher clocked CPU is making the difference. There's still an excess of GPU on the ps4, so they might as well raise the resolution.

That does make some sense, but the CPU difference is pretty small, it seems hard to believe it can result in such a big difference. I guess if it's really close to borderline on XB1 then the small difference could cause it to just miss an update when it's running on PS4 and then you've lost 16ms of time until the next render frame...

Ya, although the way they're doing it is really weird...the background still scrolls at 60fps, but the animation drops down. It's sorta clever, but it's still just a hack.

It is kind of a unique situation though....D3 was never designed with consoles in mind, so they coded it assuming they'd be working with 2 powerful CPU cores vs. 3-6 weak cores. I'm not even sure two jaguar cores would meet the min requirements for D3 on PC.

Watched the xbone show...was ok. Sunset Overdrive is looks a little better than my first thoughts. After that I'm excited for COD still. Kinda wish I'd held out for the COD box now. Enough of that. Bloodborne holy sheet that still looks freakin awesome!! LBP is looking good too. Have yet to watch the rest...

The PS3 version outsold the 360 version worldwide and the PS4 version more than doubled the XBOs sales... it had to be stupid expensive. And for what? A game that will move less than a million units on their hardware? Square truly has gone stupid at this point.

I paid $60 day one for the PS4 remaster, I'll be buying this one used once it hits PS4. (Which it will, that 10 million figure is too hard to ignore)

After all, the first to 10 million always wins.

Just finished the Sony presentation. Wow talked about stacked. Wild looks neat...whatever it is. Tearaway looks fun in a LBP kind of way. Until Dawn, Ethan something or other, they just kept coming. Definitely a lot to look forward to.
