In the case of ISPs, for most communities in or near large cities, the choice is cable (from the only cable company servicing the area) or DSL (from the local phone company), which in my case isn't really a choice since the phone company in my area is AT&T.

Fortunately Cox has been good to me, though I'm always at the whim of their annual price hikes. The most dreaded ads I hear are the ones that proclaim they are boosting (sometimes even doubling) our Internet speeds because that invariably entails a $5-$10 price increase within the next 4-6 months. I could very easily live on a stable 15 Mbs speed. I personally don't know what to do with 50 Mbs; it's not like Sony has made corresponding enhancements to their servers that make downloading games that fast remotely possible, and I really don't do any other large-scale media downloading. And if I downgrade my service plan (50 Mbs) is already at the low end nowadays, I lose my bundle pricing --I'd break even.

Exactly, when will I ever need my game consoles to download at 50mbps? I'm thinking NEVER.
Cox: pay $49 for 5mbps or $59 for 50mbps

It's a racket and they know they have you by the 'nads. I pay dearly, only because AT&T in my area sucks and I actually do like to connect to the internet every once in awhile.

Anyone have a good usb hub for the ps4? I have a cable box right there but, I don't want wires coming from every direction.

Oh and anyone else have charter communications? For me at least, I'd give it a 9/10. No caps too I think.

I bought one from Walmart in the PS4 section. Made by Dreamgear but branded as Onn. It has 4 usb 3.0 ports and doesn't need outside power source. Works great for my sony gold dongle, charging of my headset and flash drive with music on it.

I have seen it listed for $25 at amazon, I think it is $30 now. Safer bet would be to buy physical for re-sell value. Or if you can rent (maybe even share play) I know big brad likes it a lot. I haven't tried it.

Did I give you permission to name drop!? Yeah, it's a great game if you can get into it. Very Batman Akrham Asylum/City-like in combat, rooted in the LOTR universe. Any LOTR fan should at least give it a shot. I think I have about 40 hours or so in the game. Completed the campaign but there is still a lot do.

I'm not a fan as I bought it and traded it. I have a crazy backlog right now, but maybe I will give it another shot when it comes down more in price.

I liked Shadow of Mordor for a few weeks. After about 15-20 hours, the gameplay got stale to me though and I went weeks without playing and eventually traded it in. A lot of that was GTA 5 coming to PS4 (I had yet to play it and was eager). At that price, it is worth picking up unless you have a ton of games you are trying to get to. Just wasn't my thing ultimately.

Some one in Atlanta thought the natural gas monopoly was a bad thing in the 90's, so Atlanta gas light was deregulated, we pay more now for natural gas. My bill has $50 in BS fees and I've yet to even pay the actual gas usage. there are some areas which are not regulated here, I used to live in one, there are no fees on the bill, you pay what you use, with that said, maybe monopolies are not as bad as we think. Some one owns the lines/infrastructure, that person will always get paid, no matter who sends you the bill.

Bit late to bring this up but am I the only one who picked up Grim Fandango last month? Man the writing and voice acting is this admittedly aged title is a hoot. Didn't play it back in the day so it's all new to me. Fun times, although 75% through the 3rd setting I've finally hit a snag and google'd for help. -_-

Just upgraded the hard drive in my PS4 to a 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive and there is a very noticeable difference in load times and overall performance. Took me about an hour to reinstall all my current games and queue up all the downloads and DLC. The next morning all done!

I only wish we had the option to bulk copy saved games from PS4 to USB or PS+ to PS4. Also, you can't download saved games to your PS4 until the game is fully installed.

Anyway, best 60 bucks I spent in a long while. If anyone is on the fence for upgrading... DO IT!

Warning: I make a lot of mistakes but occasionally I learn from them!

Yeah, I upgraded to a 2TB drive a couple months ago. Very easy to do. To bad I have a backlog of physical disks to play and none of the new games appeal to me.

What are you guys doing with the old 500GB HDD?

Working though it with my girlfriend. She played through it back in the day but this is the first time for me. We have had to use a guide a few times for some of the puzzles.

Love the voice acting, dialogue, characters and humor.

6TB might come this year. It takes about two years to nail down reliability and work out bugs, so you wouldn't want to stick with anything larger than 2GB for the time being.
