It's a mix of the controller (hurk bleh), the graphics, and the overall slowness. Maybe it's slow because all 320GB of the hard drive is full (Thanks to PS+). I can only imagine how fragmented it is.

I was actually about to trade it in for $175 at Gamestop toward until the Batman sale started last week.

Lol when I went back to BF3 the controller didn't seem bad but back on the PS4...yea night and day. Mine is slow as hell but I blame ten year old tech

If you don't mind a small indie diversion, Valiant Hearts, which was free for PS Plus members in March, is quite simply excellent!

Thanks but I'm not a PS Plus member...never saw a reason to join. Will have to checkout some YouTube videos of the game.

+2 this was one of the more enjoyable PS+ games that I've played lately. Loved the game play and art style as well as the story. Kind of surprised me as I figured I'd get bored of it after the first hour.

So the suspend mode we now have has worked flawlessly for me, so well in fact that I don't understand why it wasn't a day 1 feature.
I've been using it on my first playthrough of The Last of Us Remastered and Lego Marvel Superheroes.

It's wild to press that PS button on the controller and be back in the game in less than 20 seconds.

I agree , it's awesome!

Although I think there is a bug in BF4 where it fails to reconnect with Battlelog after a suspend. Makes joining a friend already in game a bit harder, but I can live with that.

I was playing Last of Us Remastered the too and accidentally hit the PS button and the game paused. Had no idea what I did and was pleasantly surprised.

Same here.

I saw a gameplay video the other day and the game looks GORGEOUS (I'm assuming this was captured from the PC version). I thought the Final Fantasy XV demo looked pretty good, but this blew it out of the water (to be fair to XV, there's still a lot of time for them to improve it)

Stand tall and shake the heavens...

I'm lovin it for Grand Theft Auto. Those initial load times were really long without suspend mode.

I've been kind of annoyed, not having a DVD/BR remote controller for the PS4. Last night, I messed with the TV settings and enabled BRAVIA Sync, and I can now use the TV remote to control the PS4. NICE. I think I like that better than if the PS4 had its own A/V styled remote. One remote to rule them all... except for the cable box, but that's another story.

Interesting. I've got a Bravia now too. Might have to look into that.

Can anyone tell me if HBO Go app on PS4 supports 5.1 surround or is it limited to 2.1?

No picture using Monoprice 15ft Redmere HDMI cable

When I connect my PS4 to my ASUS LCD monitor with a 15ft Ulta Slim Redmere HDMI cable it registers a connection, but the screen is black. TV end to monitor, source end to PS4. I tried the Redmere cable with my Xbox One and it works fine. Using a standard Monoprice HDMI cable the PS4 works.

Anyone else have issues with Redmere and the PS4? Any ideas?

I have slim cable, believe they all use redmere now, and no issues. Have you tried the HDMI cable the PS4 comes with, unlikely if it is newer production unit, but you might have a bad HDMI port. Sorta silly, but have you tried switching the HDMI ends (source to monitor, TV to PS4?); maybe jiggle the cable a bit on PS4 end.

Like I said, I already got the PS4 to work with a standard Monoprice HDMI cable. I also tried switching ends with the Redmere. When I did that the monitor displayed a "no signal" message. When connected the proper way the monitor registers that there is a signal, but the screen remains black. Possible a handshake issue? The PS4 has the latest update. The Redmere didn't work with the PS4 default or with update.

Yep. All default.

I can purchase another Redmere to try or swap Xbox One and PS4 locations, with the Xbox using the 15ft Redmere HDMI and the PS4 using the 10ft standard HDMI. In it's current location the PS4 is too far away to connect to my monitor with the standard 10ft HDMI.

Anything above 10ft I prefer Redmere. I don't want a 24AWG HDMI cable. Maybe a 15ft standard 28AWG cable? All the info I've read says it's best to not go beyond 10ft with a standard 28AWG cable.

Does the 15ft work with the X1? You could try plugging the PS4 into the X1 HDMI In port and see if it can pass the signal through. If it doesnt they something with the system and cable are wonky, if it works I'd be looking at handshake or the monitor with that cable.

Yes, the 15ft Redmere works with the Xbox One.

I may try the pass through to troubleshoot, but if it works I'm not leaving it connected. Rather not introduce lag.

Update on Ultra Slim Redmere HDMI cable issue

Since I have a 30ft Cabernet Series Redmere HDMI cable I connected that to my PS4 and ASUS monitor. It worked.

So, the PS4/ASUS combo works with a 10ft Select Series HDMI cable and Cabernet Series Redmere HDMI cable.

For some reason it does not work with the 15ft Ultra Slim Redmere HDMI cable even though that cable works with the Xbox One/ASUS combo.

Do you guys think it's an issue with my PS4? I wonder if the chip in the Cabernet cable is more powerful than the Ultra Slim and for some reason the PS4 isn't providing enough power over the lesser powered 15ft Ultra Slim.

I need a 15ft HDMI cable capable of 1080p. I may have to purchase a BJC Belden Series-FE HDMI Cable from Blue Jeans since the Ultra Slim Redmere won't work.

in comparison, looks like the MGSV controller is a darker gun-metal; not sure which one I like better. Hopefully the thumbsticks dont peel like crazy

Definitely like the darker gunmetal better. They should have done the whole Arkham Knight console that color.
