available 7/7; curious to try Styx and Entwined. Nice they are still including PS3 but hopefully they ween it off and just give us all PS4/Vita titles. Or maybe make some PSNow titles be F2P for a money or something to that effect.
I hope they don't offer PSNow games instead of the ones I can store locally. As an addition it's fine, as a replacement for something else not so much. PSNow doesn't really work that well imo.

Just a hard pill to swallow when it was completely free to play online with a PS3. That was a big selling point to my buddies to convince them to dump MS and come over to game with me. I didn't have Plus on ps3, but I was well aware of the outstanding games they gave away. So when I learned I had to essentially pay to play online, it wasn't that big of a deal because I would be getting all these great games for free.

Not going to rip down walls and trade my PS4 in (i am happy w my system). But it is easy to see why people are frustrated when you essentially mandate paying when something was free, and then offer games that arent even close to what the paying customers got before (with a few exceptions).

What I meant to say was I did download and try these indie games on PS+ but they were boring mobile graphics I deleted them right away.

We can thank XBL for this. Had they not had success Sony wouldn't have bothered. From what i personally recall, save for a few titles, PS3 online was suspect most of the time. It is definitely a lot better this go around, hopefully due to our hostage dollars. I don't know how many games were available during PS3 era, but i personal appreciate what titles are offered, mainly because some games I completely forget about playing.

Should really give them a shot. Some might look like SNES titles, but they really are fun to play.

IMO, Trine 2, Valiant Hearts, Resogun, and a few others whose names escape me at the moment have been pretty darn good. Though...those have decent graphics. I can't get excited about free games that look like Atari 2600. Overall, I don't mind the indie games being thrown at us.

I keep trying to post, and it doesn't seem to "take"... Weird. Let's see if this makes it. Anyway, I'll keep it brief since I'm tired of retyping!

Yeah, it's been annoying having mostly indie games, but some of them are fun for a short while, enough to justify PS Plus, I think. There have been a few really good ones.

Drive Club Playstation Plus version looks good from the few minutes I played. Looks like most of the cars are not available, but some are.

Lightbulb PS4 maintains power momentarily during power outages.

I recently found out whether by design or coincidence the PS4 does not lose power if a power outage is quick enough.

Was beating some thugs heads in with Batman and was in a intense fight when the power in my neighborhood flickered 4 times. My TV and AVR fully lost power 4 times over the period of ~25 seconds. The first time I thought "bummer" lost my progress. My AVR clicked back on before my TV and I could hear the game audio still, I was VERY suprised, so I kept mashing my fighting buttons and a few second later my tv came on and I was still healthy enough to keep fighting. My power cycled 3 more times and the PS4 never missed a beat. Pretty cool. Glad I wasn't playing Destiny cause I lost internet.

Battery backups are cheap enough these days I'm considering getting one or two for my home theater gear and modem/router. As it stands, due to Florida weather and the intermittent power outages, leaving my consoles on standby for a lengthy period isn't ideal.

Unless your "home theater" came from a box by Bose, it's not practical to put it all on battery backup because it would chew through it in moments. Unless you can engineer your own with car batteries.

Most of mine is on battery because the objective is to get through short brown outs or provide enough time to properly power everything down. It is not intended to keep you watching the screen the length of a feature film.

Does anyone know how to delete PS3 saves from the cloud if you no longer have a PS3? I filled my storage and would rather free up the space the PS3 saves are using since I know longer have one. When you access your cloud storage from the PS4 it doesn't show any PS3 data.

I run all my equipment on APC UPSs with extended runtime batteries. A few days ago my power went out around midnight and was out for two hours. I was able to continue playing as normal during those two hours. I hadn't even noticed the power was out for ten minutes since I usually only have the TV backlight on in that room which is also on a UPS. If I would have had an overhead light on then I would have noticed right away.

But my TVs, receivers, subwoofers, gaming consoles, TiVos, router, ONT, Access points, etc. are all connected to multiple UPSs(basically all my electronic devices). Depending on the power draw and UPS I get anywhere from two hours to eighteen hours of runtime during a power outage. So my ONT and router will be on the longest so I can continue having internet and at least one AP for 18 hours. Then My three other APs won't last more than 12 hours on the UPSs they are connected to.

Besides giving me power while there is an outage it also prevents the electrical devices from quickly cycling on/off a bunch of times in a short period. And that can kill electronic devices. And they protect the devices from brownouts and power surges. WHich happen often around here.

Save files for the PS3 are stored locally on your HDD. At least that has been my experience.

Of course. I was talking about the feasibility and cost of running a plasma TV, AVR/amps, subs, etc on battery power. It would be drained in moments, though I am intrigued by the idea of making your own with car batteries.

You missed my point. With PS+ you get cloud storage. This cloud storage is shared across PSVita, PS3 and PS4. This storage is limited in size (1gig maybe?). My storage is now full. I no longer have a PS3. When I access the cloud storage on PS4, it'll only show the PS4 files (won't show me the PS3 or vita files). I'd like to free up space by deleting the PS3 content but I don't see a way to do it without getting access to a PS3 to sign I with.

I thought the PS4 saves had their own limit? Their a lot bigger anyway. Prune those and you'll be ok. I hit my cap a long time ago and have to prune periodically.

Though it isn't nearly enough, I'm pretty sure it's 1 GB per platform.

This is the one thing that XBL Gold does so much better than PS+ IMO. With my XB1, cloud saves are unlimited and work instantly and seamlessly in the background. I can go from my upstairs console to my downstairs one and pick up right where I left off, without doing anything manually. In contrast, I can't even access my digital content without waiting an extended period of time, when switching from one PS4 to the other.

None of my gear is on a UPS, though I've been meaning to buy one for the router/modem in the utility closet. I don't have a projector so I don't need to shutdown anything correctly really.

I was keenly aware the PS4 was storing residual power fairly well when the first time I put it into a backpack I touched the power button and I heard the beep, lightup, and startup HDD spin up till it used the residual power. I'm intrigued what makes some devices hold power like that. Anyways, I know that's what kept my PS4 running during the 4xpower flicker I experienced.

It all depends on what is used. I use these APC 1500 Back-Ups Pro models.

Along with these APC extended runtime external battery packs.

http://www.amazon.com/APC-BR24BPG-Ba..._bxgy_23_img_y

I have no problem getting a lot of run time from my devices. In my main viewing area I use three of them to connect my electronic devices to. Plus a fourth APC UPS with my Subwoofer that is a different design.(If I used the ones with extended runtime batteries it would give my subwoofer many hours longer than my other devices would last. SInce my SVS subwoofer really doesn't draw much power unless there is constant loud bass. Which is rare.)
