We were talking about the controllers last night. Far as I'm concerned, asymmetrical only has one advantage and that's the D pad location. Much easier to hit in FPS on an asymmetrical but the touchpad could negate that downside if devs would use it...ahem...Dice...

Love the controller as well. The only button I don't like so much isn't used for playing anyways and that is the share button.

Most of the games I play use both analogue sticks which symmetrical sticks are perfect for.

I still need to finish this game cool.gif

That said, I still think the name of the power and any of the details should be kept spoilered for a while longer... I saw a brief mention of it prior to getting it and wish I hadn't.
The only place I saw the third power before I played it in the game was in this thread. biggrin.gif

And yes to your spoiler comment, me too.

Power #3 is hinted at early on, but the way it is shown makes it really hard to figure out jist what it is. Power #4 is flat out stated to be your goal and examples of what it can do are everywhere as you progress.

So went to attempt Paper Trail part 4 only to find my progress reset (in-game & on website) back at Part 1. Not sure why or how, but be cautious; make sure to login to the site before launching the game?

Crap like that makes me glad I waited on that dlc. I was planning to do it once it was finished, but I think I will take Gamestop up on that $40 credit and put it towards The Last of Us Remastered. I'll toss in my PS3 copy of TLoU as well and maybe Battlefield 4 as well. (Leaving Tomb Raider as my only physical game...)

Thanks for the heads up. I could probably get through the puzzles again quickly enough from memory but it's an annoying problem. I'll check the website first before I fire up the game and report back.

Yes, you are right, I meant the 4th power. I had the map completely cleared before getting it on my 1st play through so by the time i got it, there was no point in having it. On my evil play through, I left a lot of stuff on the map so I could play with the new power

I had that happen before. Just go back in the game to the current paper trail objective and re-check the website. (Hopefully you've been saving in-game when you complete objectives or have a recent auto-save). That should restore you to where you were on the website.

I'm not reading this whole thread because I want to avoid any accidental spoilers or anything, but man...

the dualshock light is in absolute TURBO MODE at the beginning of this game. I've never felt the need to put tape over the light bar, but I had to, because it was freaking ridiculous. That thing was pumping out candlelight's like you wouldn't believe, lol. I had to put some blue painters tape over it (trying to avoid sticky residue), and even then, the light was still a bit too bright. I can only imagine how it would be in my projector room. I think I'd have to start off with a layer of painters tape and then go for the electrical tape on top.

I always thought the people talking about the dualshock light were just overly picky, but man, this game for whatever reason makes my DS4 light pump crazy output, and the reflections on my plasma are driving me nuts, not to mention it lights up the whole room.

It was my fourth as well, and the easiest of the ones I have.

MW2, Dragon's Dogma, Jak and Daxter and now Second Son. The trend of adding multiplayer trophies has prevented me from getting many more Plats, like in TLoU.

I don't feel like the expert playthough adds 16 hours if you keep it minimal. Unfortunately there isn't a game clock, that I could find, but I think my expert play through was probably 8 to 10 hours tops. I did the bare minimum though, I only cleared out the DUP mobile commands when the story line forced me to. I think maybe 5 of the 13.

Good game, got the plat, and now I'm moving on.

Nice, I will start playing again.

Quote:
inFAMOUS Second Son Patch Out Tomorrow

I have some good news for you. We’ve made great progress on the inFAMOUS Second Son patch on PS4 I promised you a couple weeks back. In fact, we expect to publish it on PSN tomorrow, April 17th.

Now first, let me update you on the specifics I promised, and then toss in a few extra goodies that we managed to squeeze in when nobody was looking. First — addressing one of the top two requests we’ve gotten — you’ll be able to disable the HUD, and once you’ve finished the game you’ll be able to adjust the time of day as you like.

We also promised, and have included, an option to cap the game frame rate at 30 FPS if you prefer playing this way. To set expectations for you all: this is a frame rate cap — not a lock. It won’t eliminate the rare instance of a dropped frame during gameplay.

But that’s all stuff you expected. Let’s talk about a few surprises, saving the best for last:

A handful of localization text changes, and a couple of fixes for rare crashes in the game (Thanks to all of you who uploaded reports on those, they were extremely helpful!).
If your controller runs out of batteries in the middle of gameplay, your game will pause. Our art director pulled a hamstring scrambling to get his second controller mid-boss-battle, so we needed to fix this.
If you’re choosing expert difficulty, we let you know within the options dialog if you’re qualified for the “Unstoppable” trophy the moment you opt in.
Photo Mode.

Wait, what’s that last one? We were totally amazed at the quality of the screenshots you all shared. Amazed. So we thought we’d try to help you all out. With this patch, you can enable photo mode within the options. Once you do that, clicking L3 will pause the game, and allow you to use a suite of our internal tools (like setting depth of field) to take even more amazing shots.

To hold you over until the patch goes live tomorrow, check out the brief video tutorial above showing how the Photo Mode works!

Final full disclosures and fine print: these options and settings, including frame rate, will reset to defaults each time you restart the game. We chose to not disturb our game save file format with this patch in order get these features to you as quickly as we could. Additionally, Photo Mode will only work in situations where the camera is freely movable by players. In scripted sequences/cutscenes you can still take screenshots of course, just not with the Photo Mode tools.

We hope you enjoy the new tools and the Photo Mode, and we can’t wait to see what you come up with! Enjoy, and talk again soon.

I didn't find Seattle to be all that immersive in this game. Or maybe they did a good job and I am just not a fan of Seattle (never been there).

Yea i agree with roll, this needs to be mandatory in all Sony 1st party titles biggrin.gif.

Sucks it wasnt in at launch, but might give me a reason to make a third playthru and explore some more. Its funny that the game's photo editing features are present are better than the console!

Now they just need to remove any sort of compression and release the patch to remove HDCP!

So is it instant, unlike the Share button where you have to try to time it?
