Picked up Drive Club yesterday after having a day to stay home from work with a sick child. Figured I would get a few hours of Destiny in during his nap time, only to find the servers down. DC doesn't feel as fun as Forza was on 360, but hoping it can hold me over until Project Cars arrives.

The leaderboards are kinda messed up huh? I was checking out the tour events to see our scores and noticed that a bunch of them were off. For example the Marussia Drift I have a score of 4,073 on the leaderboard, but I've got all the stars, and the top star you need a score of 8,900. So that doesn't make sense.

Leader boards are working now, but weren't when you set that score. Unfortunately you will need to beat your best score before anything will post since it saved your score locally. Or delete your save game, I guess. (Not that I am suggesting that!)

I noticed when I was playing it recently that in a speed section of a track, someone shows up as having an average speed of over 1100mph. How is that possible?

It's a known bug apparently. Drift scores crossed into time scores and vice versa somehow. It's probably why you see speed challenges in hyper cars at 23 mph too.

I've only noticed this when the servers are out of commission and you get the annoying notification right in the middle of the screen.

I've been playing all afternoon today and some of the speeds have been over 3000 mph to beat. Ridiculous.

Whatever Ignition and Photo Finish are they didn't work when clicked...Also had to reset my wheel buttons. They added L3 to reset to track though.

The photo mode is pretty cool. I wish I had upload some pictures I took last night. For some reason it will not let me upload to twitter. I was too lazy to us my USB stick.

It really helps reveal how much insane detail they've put into the cars (details that you would never notice in actual gameplay). I notice the details while driving but when you can move the camera around and zoom in on parts of the car the results can be stunning. It also adds AA or something to smooth out jaggies, it takes a little time but it looks really good.

It's pretty damn impression how everything reflects. Brake lights from one car reflecting on to another.

edit: Now that reset to track using the left touchpad is a nice addition as well.

I'm quite sure that cars are cheated.
The higher level/stars you are the faster is your car in the straight lines.

Was engaging in some nostalgia today, and realized I really need a figure out a way to get this:
to play in DriveClub. Might be my favorite racing soundtrack ever. Especially 03 - Desert Replay, 05 - Mountain Replay, although there are a lot of great tracks here.

Ah, good to know, thanks.

Played a little (first time post-patch, since I was out of town) on the new tracks, really liking them. And I got my first ever* #1 rank (car-specific) on the new India reverse track, with the Mini! I doubt it will last long, but fun to have nonetheless.

* Well, except for that #1 I got a long time ago when the game glitched and awarded me a #1 time for one lap completed out of the three that were supposed to take place... whoops

The new Scotland track is great. I have to check out the other two again.

I hope we get some more Point to Point races as the ones that are already in the game are awesome. And of course new locations! So much potential with their engine. I would love for them to just keep pumping out courses.

That new short track is rotten with curves. I tried that thing out with the hyper RUF last night and that was a huge mistake! Couldn't tell if I dug the course or not.
