Hey folks. I have a launch PS3 that took a dump on me, it won't even turn on. I thought about tearing it apart and soldering the CPU back to the motherboard(which I assume is what is wrong), but decided just to get a new slim 320 instead.
My question is this. Can I transfer the info from my 60gb HDD to my new PS3 with a SATA to USB cable? (SATA end plugs into the 60gb, USB end plugs into the PS3 - it doesn't draw power from USB, it has a 110 power source). Will the saves transfer straight across? I stuck my bricked PS3 into my storage unit, so I wanted to get some opinions before I drove all the way out there, grabbed it, and plugged it in to see what happens. Thanks
