Defibs do suck. Team me tries to be the bestest squad player he can be but gets mowed down trying to revive someone because the effing paddles dont work or I run over to a body only to have it time out before I get there and get mowed down. Ooh even better, I can hold the defib longer just to make sure they timeout. Worthless....

Defibs are buggy, don't even bother if they slide down a hill even slightly. Still, they are very useful in Rush and are hardly useless. I run with defib and medkit as my primary loadout and always revive when I can.

well you are probably doing it wrong, remember that it needs to be in contact with the skin and touching at the same time on their chest.. be sure to remove shirt before you do it...

Good point, I had an easier time getting a defib kill than revives. To be fair, my defib experience was early on and its possible they have patched it up to be better.....eek.gif lol I can't keep a straight face when I say that biggrin.gif

You can revive from pretty far away, so don't worry about standing next to the person. Maybe 3-4 meters away is the upper limit.

Also, sometimes it's just the angle, so if the revive doesn't work then turn 30 degrees and try again. Sometimes I have to zap people 4 times from all angles until one works.

Maybe they made it more difficult on purpose to do away with medic trains?

I can't tell my wife that I play video games with your sister (Levelcap's wife). Seriously. The other day I think she heard her talking and looked at me funny then assumed it was a girly guy or something.

...oh no busted mid post by the wife...she says no more playing with a girl after reading this.

Going to dinner be on later.

Glad I'm not the only one having trouble with the ping pong paddles.

I've resorted to belly flop, prone diving while screaming "I'll save you".

Looks like my search for an internet provider at my new place isn't going to include gaming. Unless att dsl somehow works about 2 miles past their coverage zone...

All the 4G providers in my area are overpriced and have absurd data caps making my Plus subscription useless unless I take my console to a relative's house when a digital title is needed and any updates need to download.

This is my local 4G provider

http://bigrivertelephone.com/valuepackages.html

At&t is the only other 4G option where I live.

My satelite option is limited to exede, who has no cap from Midnight to 5am, but the 800ms ping means no fps play. (Or any online play really) Given the lack of a cap in those hours, I can go with their cheapest package and do all my downloading as needed in that time.

Anyone know how much data Battlefield on PS4 uses in a given time frame? Google turned up 45MB per hour, that is nothing If true..

More related to Call of Duty but when I sold my first house I had a temp stay at my parents multi-family house. I had no internet for the first weekend so I decided to turn on the hotspot on my phone. From Friday night till Sunday night I used over 9gb of data playing Call of Duty and some web browsing. We didnt stream any movies or videos so most of that was from video games alone. Not sure how similar BF and COD are in data usage but I figure I would mention what I used. This was back in 2010

I dont know, I dont remember checking how many connections were being made either. I only knew the amount of data because I got a friendly call from ATT reminding me that tethering was not allowed and that I could be charged for it. I just told them I had no internet and me and the wife streamed netflix movies all weekend.

Back then I had no kids so I played a lot more, so for 3 nights that could of been 20+ hours of gaming easily. Maybe my wife streamed some Netflix. I dont think so as we packed the Tivo with recordings just in case we had nothing longer than the weekend. It was awhile back but I do remember the number of gigs as I thought it was high. Another thing is maybe when they called they gave the number of what was used for the month.

I would try it again for an hour but BF is sometimes laggy on my fios so nevermind on a cellphone.

If you don't pay for tethering... yeah that can get them upset. Plus, if she streamed even one HD movie or TV show over netflix, you have your answer. Netflix can use over 2 gigs an hour on an HD feed or more.

If anyone has a tethering plan and can give me the data used for an hour of Battlefield 4 on a 4G connection with no other usage, that would be very helpful.

Pen, beware of ATT DSL. I just switched to Xfinity from an AT&T DSL 6 Mbps plan and Im kicking myself from not doing it sooner. DSL will get you to your destination but prepared for a bumpy ride. Not sure if you live alone or you'll be sharing your DSL while gaming but my experiences with ATT DSL was dropping out of games, not connecting to servers and lag/latency disadvantages while playing FPS.

Ask Nex, Lazy and Zath about my frustrations with DSL. If it's your best option, then you gotta do what you gotta do but stay away is my advice after being a gamer and a DSL subscriber for many years.

EDIT: Oh and I forgot to mention, you can forget purchasing digital downloaded games. BF4 for PS3 (10 GB download) took 10 hours to download on DSL. BF4 for PS4 (35 GB) took 20 hours to download 21 GB before I said eff it, cancelled the DL and went out and bought the disc version. When I finally upgraded to Xfinity 50/15, I re-downloaded BF4 and the 35 GB file only took me a little over 2 hours.
