My guess is feedback wasn't so hot so their doing preemptive damage control and/or pushing it back to be away from COD, Destiny, Evolve, etc. This will be a loaded season as it is and coming off a crummy game into a yearly cycle they said wouldn't happen with a cops and robbers game people may not care about.

Yup they finally realized that releasing a game at 75% is a bad idea.

If by feedback you mean low preorder numbers, then I agree. I also agree that they finally realized that if Hardline releases next to all these AAA games in the fall it will flop.

Then that makes me question if all the BF3/4 issues were the fault of DICE or EA. This move would incline me to believe that either A. EA got their collective heads out of their asses or B. DICE was at fault the whole time.

Since we know A. is not true I guess DICE is to blame???
