My guess is feedback wasn't so hot so their doing preemptive damage control and/or pushing it back to be away from COD, Destiny, Evolve, etc. This will be a loaded season as it is and coming off a crummy game into a yearly cycle they said wouldn't happen with a cops and robbers game people may not care about.

Yup they finally realized that releasing a game at 75% is a bad idea.

Holding the fort on old games that play the same as the new ones, minus the $400 price tag.

If by feedback you mean low preorder numbers, then I agree. I also agree that they finally realized that if Hardline releases next to all these AAA games in the fall it will flop.

Then that makes me question if all the BF3/4 issues were the fault of DICE or EA. This move would incline me to believe that either A. EA got their collective heads out of their asses or B. DICE was at fault the whole time.

Since we know A. is not true I guess DICE is to blame???

Can't fault DICE on this one since a different developer is making Hardline

This... i am sure that there are numerous people like me that this will be the first BF game they i don't buy, so they are in crisis mode due to low preorders, etc.. if you think EA could sell a couple of million of BF hardline, yet are choosing to delay it for a better experience.. well you obviously don't know EA very well..

So in the mornings the wife gets up before me and watches Good Morning America or something like that. The TV is not far from the bedroom.

I'm laying in bed, struggling to wake up this morning, when I here some reporter on the TV say, "Electronic Arts has decided to delay the original fall release of its upcoming Battlefield Hardline title until 2015. The game is..." (darn I've already forgot the exact phrase they used, but it was hilarious...something like, "The game is extremely popular among gamers".)

So basically I woke up today with a smile on my face as I was laughing to my self. I went in there, rewound the dvr and watched the 4 line report. Lol. How is that morning national news?

I'm not planning to buy hardline. As Zath is to BF3, I will stay with bf4 until something else comes along that everyone else here moves on to. The only battlefield game I can see preordering is star wars, but I may not do that either until I see some gameplay and read some reviews.
Anyone hopping on tonight? I may be able to..not sure yet though.

Lol, its just like bf3. You would immediately dominate in bf4. Can't wait until you finally make the switch!

Now that my patio is almost finished I decided to go ahead and order the projector. So it looks like I will be gaming under the stars again tomorrow night. I am more excited on gaming on a 120 inch screen.

Gaming on a projector is amazing. It's such a different experience when you have to move your whole head to look at everything on the screen .

A couple suggestions - lag is going to be an issue. Try to have a direct connection from xbox/ps4 to the projector (skip the receiver). Also, bulb brightness goes down over time so be sure to have a spare on-hand. I like to turn "high altitude mode" on so the fan runs faster moving more air and keeping the electronics cooler.

Right now it will be a direct connection, if we use it enough then I'll look into a receiver or switch. Audio will be through the headset, don't want to wake the neighbors with mph complaining on finding new ways to die in the chopper
