The scoped .44 was an oddball gun, I think most players skipped it because it's primary feature went unnoticed till DICE nerfed it 18-months after BF3 released. I had made it my go-to secondary when playing recon, but then got so accustomed to it that I used it for all classes.
I don't know what it's called, but the bullet always hit on the vertical line of the scope, the bullet had zero horizontal spread (after settling), you just had to aim up for bullet drop.
For bolt-action snipers, it served to repel danger within the 50m range; and hilariously for carbines and assault it served to take out ranged targets. One time on a roof on Firestorm a transport crashed in the distance and as the soldiers huffed it to the map center the scoped .44 took them out at about 150m, head shots to boot.
