Ready as I can be. Got the firewood ready just in case I lose power. About to use the mixer to make some pasta and bread since the oven will be the only thing working.

I guess they are expecting it to be bad, worse than 2 years ago when he got over 2 feet. They issued a driving ban, I don't think we've ever had that, so as of 7pm tonight I officially have no work worries. Till the morning when I have to do my rounds of shoveling.

I HATE SNOW. I HATE PEOPLE THAT LIKE SNOW. I also tell my wife that while I am clearing out snow I am talking sh!t about her, its because of her I am still stuck up north. I am so ready to move down South.

Seriously, are you guys all going to make it? It seems pretty aweful. I don't know anything about being stuck in a house because of snow, but I imagine it's pretty terrible and nothing like a hurricane party.

Yeah, we have hurricane parties where we make sure there is enough food, drinks, and board games in case the power goes out for a few days. Then we turn on the news to see when we have to go back to work. So this snowstorm is nothing like that?

Nah, freezing cold, no heat, potential roof collapses from excess weight = no fun. At my old house we had an ice storm that killed power for a few days. Electric stoves and furnace blowers were useless. That sucked but it wasn't a couple feet of snow. Had a blizzard here once too, don't recommend that either.

What Nexus said, blizzards SUCK! You can't go anywhere because the roads are undriveable, and you have to hope and pray that you don't lose power. We have a fireplace at our house that practically saved our lives a few years ago when our furnace went out on a Sunday morning in the middle of winter. I could only imagine how much worse it is to lose power. Then having to shovel waist high snow (the drifts were brutal) was icing on the cake. No, you couldn't use a snow blower, the snow was way to high to use it, and you could probably not even push it out of the garage.

To all my north-eastern friends, stay safe and stay warm.

WHAT THE FUDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like my whole childhood and gaming life was a lie. I can't believe what I just found out.

In Super Mario Brothers if you lost all your lives you could press A+Start and you continue in level 1 of the world you were last in.............Mind fkn blown - Kaboom!!!

If that wasn't enough to get me going I then find out that the 2nd controller could control the ducks in Duck Hunt........WHAT?!!!

If it wasn't for a damn blizzard I would be buying an NES with both those games just to try this BS out. Then after going on the roof and tossing it all off of it due to the amount of hours and do-overs it took to beat SMB because of no continues, or at least thats what I thought.

I usually don't mind storms, but now that I have a toddler that I'm going to be trapped inside with for the next 24+ hours...

I have a feeling my apartment is going to resemble Thunderdome by the time this is all over.

On topic (not that that's even been an issue here), I'll likely be playing tonight, knowing I don't/can't get into the office tomorrow.

I'm also getting really tempted to purchase Hardline. Is there a support group hotline I can call to talk me out of this abusive relationship with EA?

I think I am preordering Hardline...depending on the beta. Thought about COD DLC but I'm not playing it enough. Might get a pack but the whole $50 thing I've pretty much talked myself out of. BF DLC I do play. Woke up early today and COD wasn't cutting it so I played some rush. Hardline has game modes I'm interested in at least. Evolve is a no go. Project Cars looks very cool and Bloodborne is paid for. Think I'm holding off on the Order for now as well in favor of one of the others. It means waiting another month but I've got plenty to keep me busy for now.

Didn't know about continuing either, did know about duck hunt though. Found out by accident taking turns shooting ducks, started effing around with the controller due to boredom.
You couldn't make the ducks go crazy so it wasn't a big deal.
Good luck luck in the blizzard, hopefully you guys keep your power so you can game.

I keep looking at Hardline stuff when I go to fire up bf4 on PS4. The videos of the gameplay kills it for me every time. I feel like some of those game modes would get old fast. The chase mode with vehicles seems like one of the few modes that would interest me.

When does Project Cars come out? EDIT - Looks like mid March.

Never, just cooked the first batch. 2nd is about to be dropped in soon, just waiting for the pot to get really steamy again. I think I got to much food though. Looks like leftovers for Monday, which is good because another 6-12 inches could keep me indoors on Monday.
